For decades the Cardinals were the laughing stock of the NFL. Ineptitude at its very best. Besides the Corell run in the mid 70's, it took the tenure of Whiz and BA to bring the franchise back to respectability. Now, I'm afraid, the hiring of Wilkes (no head coaching experience), McCoy (failed OC/head coach experience and Holcomb (no coordinator experience) is about to set the organization back for years to come. It's ok to install (1) brand new coordinator or (1) brand new head coach without experience in the position. But to install (2) without any experience and (1) with a bad track record is not the formula for success. The decision making going on with this team right now is being questioned accross many media outlets nevermind this forum. We're losing respectability quickly and we're certainly going to lose any type of National TV coverage which we gained post super bowl thru BA's tenure. The quicker the organization realizes it made a mistake with its hires and rectifies it the better...otherwise...get ready for another trip into NFL obscurity....and being irrelevant....and not respected.

Was never in favor of the Wilks hire. Don't like hiring someone with no head coaching experience. Especially one who was only a D coordinator for what 1 year ? Would rather have dipped into the college ranks and brought in a head coach from there. Problem was no coach who had any track record wanted to come to the Cards, so we were left with our 3rd or 4th option.
You can see on the field Wilks is not ready to be a head coach. Add in the fact his O coordinator has been canned from several teams, and his D coordinator is also in a new position and that is a recipe for disaster. Cards might have a better team this year over last year, but the important coaching positions are worse. Two guys feeling their way and one ( McCoy ) that should never have been hired because of his previous failures.

What about the functioning alcoholic GM? The guy who hired the apparently incompetent head coach? What happens to him? I'm getting another good chuckle here from everybody going batshit nuts over Wilks while the seasoned, respected NFL executive who hired him created the #1 offseason distraction and got a nice vacation for his trouble.
