Coaching and a very poor defense, you gonna blame that on Johnson ? fact is Darnold had better coaching and talent around him and Josh outperformed him both times. Yeah and Carson beat Aaron Rodgers last time they met. So whats the validity of this idea of "he beat him when they played each other"? None. Zero. Blake Bortles outperformed Tom Brady last week. 1 game does not a career make. Or 2. Or 3. Or 10. Its not that simple dude Really do you know what you are talking about ? Bortles has the better team genius.

How bout this maybe the cardinals had better talent at the time we know Arizona had the better defense. With your logic with better talent and better coaching how does one Qb out perform the other ? The better player is determined by all factors of his individual, consistent performance. Darnold was better in college than Rosen. Baker was better than both of them. Its why they went 1 and 4 and Rosen went 10. Rosen was often injured, threw more picks than youd like. Looked flat vs bad teams such as ASU. Whereas Darnold put up the greatest QB performance of all time in the Rose Bowl and consistently developed a reputation as being a cold blooded, unshakeable QB. Long run maybe Rosen is better than them both. But this idea that Rosen is the best of all 3 is unsupported by any evidence. Its just your hope he will be.

Bortles has the better team genius. Most playoff teams have always been better than the Patriots, as a whole. The difference has always been Tom Brady. He takes a largely rag tag bunch and goes to the playoffs every single year. Pats won the superbowl in 2016 vs the Falcons. Can you name more Pats players or Falcons players from that superbowl? Answer being Falcons. Because they had more stars. Pats have always been largely unknown roll players. When they have a star, like Chandler, they inexplicably trade him away.

That is exactly why I think Josh could be better then both. He did not have the talent around him like Mayfield at Oklahoma or Sam Darnold from USC. but over his three years playing not sure how many mayfield played but Darnold played two years with one good year and Josh had similar numbers with less talent and to me better stats don't determine a better player I think the player and what he does with the level of talent around him. Some guys have it and some guys don't. If we went off stats Matt Leinart should have been a franchise Qb. So for me head to head with less talent speaks volumes to me. We will definitely get to see for sure but it seems zaz you are solely basing it off performance not even considering the head to head and the talent they had around them.

I still remember watching Montana's first preseason game for the chiefs-a team with no stars at wr or te. first drive led to td and you could see the players confidence grow instantly. a great qb instills in players the belief that they will win. sam sure as hell does not do that. occasionally there is a non qb who does this as well-game on the line, cards need a play-DOES ANYBODY DOUBT THAT LARRY WILL MAKE THE PLAY IF HE GETS THE BALL? how many times have we seen larry make the play even when the other team and everybody watching the game knew cards would try to get him the ball?

None of these comparisons mean a thing until Josh gets the nod to start for Arizona. He gets a few games under his belt as a Cardinal then you can start the comparisons. What happened in the past is irrelevant at this point in time. All that matters is what happens moving forward as a QB in the NFL.

Also, lol @ “consistently developed a reputation as being a cold blooded, unshakeable QB“ despite his last college season being the polar opposite of that.
