The NY Giants grabbed him off our practice squad... PennyHell, I didn't even know he was on the practice squad. I thought he was on our 53 man roster. I have always been a fan of him. It seemed to me every time he got in the game, he performed well, even on special teams. Apparently someone in the organization thinks Derrick Coleman is better.....I disagree.....but what do I know. Penny seemed like a really good guy and it looks like he may get some playing time with the Giants......I wish him well. |

Just another mistake from this teams higher up. I thought Penny was a better all round back than Coleman. Coleman is strictly a FB, where Penny can be used in different ways. To me Penny was just as good of blocker as Coleman, but a better receiver and runner. He is the guy you could turn to late in the games to grind out those 3, 4, 5, 6, yards and save wear and tear on DJ.
I hope he kills it with his new team. |

Good for him.. Hope he gets a big raise, or he will be losing money.. cost of living in NY is double what it is in AZ.. it won’t take long for him to figure out, he misses the Cardinals and the great state of ARIZONA..
