Okay, who in their right mind thought the Cards would be anymore than 1-1 at this point in the season. Let’s keep that in perspective.
Granted NOBODY that I recall on this board thought we would get shellacked at this point but the best case scenario was a 1-1 start! We are only one game off. All bets are off if we lose to the Bears though.
I for one think we win this weekend with a special teams showing and get the monkey or bear off our back. But hey, I’m a homer so what do I know!

Its not just about the record, its how they actually look. I said I would wait until after the bears game to judge, but not getting past the 50 until the last 40 seconds of the game is beyond pathetic.
They need to adjust and adjust quickly. Next two games should have been winnable, not at this rate. Let’s hope people step up and gets things right for this weekend.

I don’t care as there is no excuse to have 90 total yards passing when you have Fitzgerald and David Johnson on this team. Can’t make it past the 50 yard line until the end of the game. Mike McCoy sucks as an offensive coordinator.

If we had one and things changed I guess we would know. I just dont even understand how we can be this bad.

Just to be a little funny, many of us was wanted to keep McCrane.
As it turns out, we don't need a kicker.....we can't even get past the 50 yrd line to even try for a field goal.

We may need to carry 2 punters just to keep their legs fresh?

They have looked so putrid it should count for at least 4 losses. If they were actually in both games, nobody would be freaking out. People are freaking out because they look like a middle school caliber team. i don't know why some people can't realize that.

People are freaking out because they look like a middle school caliber team. i don't know why some people can't realize that. For Any Team to look this Bad it's Coaching. Too much confusing and conflicting ideas/schemes for the Players to get a grasp on. If this team's Coaching staff would've realized how big a change, for example going from a 3-4 to a 4-3 straight way, they would've planned for a mixed package that allows for transitioning from the scheme the D knows to the one they want as Coaches. Instead they bring in low tier players from their previous Team cutting possibly better players so they can implement Their scheme. Not thinking or realizing that they are putting players in bad positions. expecting immediate success at making those changes. Then the Team flounders Badly and it becomes a "collectively bad showing". Well of course it does! You taken players out of their natural positions and are force feeding them a new scheme that is greek to them. You will have failure until enough reps are accumulated to start getting any kind of foundation set. I used D as an example but the same is true for the O. But less so for ST as the bulk of ST players are always the "new" guys on the team. The bottom of the roster that can run fast. With a sprinkle of good players at key spots. (Is Budda Baker playing ST like last year when he made the Pro Bowl?) The Coaches need to be examined before the players. The players Have to let their Talent show and Not be tentative when on the field. Sam Bradford is tentative because he has No Confidence in the Play calling or Offensive scheme. David is not get carries and catches because of the scheme. a cloud of dust and a 3-4 yard run up the middle into the teeth of the opposing D every time. Fitz is being wasted again by the O scheme. The young WRs are confused and poorly coached from this scheme. How in the world do you teach a young wr to go and sit 1 to 2 yards short of the 1st down to make a catch. Get them past the 1st down marker when they make their breaks in their routes. This is Coaching mistakes, Coaching ineptitude. Coaches need to step up and be accountable. Coaches need to Coach fundamentals, but also develop plays that play to the players strengths. That is one thing BA and Staff could do. Wilks, McCoy, and Holcomb need to go back to this asap. And If that means cutting back on the playbook for either side of the ball do it Asap! Give these players a foundation to stand on and they will perform.

To further that the Rams kicker got hurt and outside of one field goal by their punter they just keep going for it on 4th down. They must have been laughing inside their face masks at just how bad we are.

And If that means cutting back on the playbook for either side of the ball do it Asap! Give these players a foundation to stand on and they will perform. I'm going to disagree with you to a point. The D played much better in game 2 than game 1. There were a lot of defensive adjustments. In fairness to the coaching staff, the Rams actually had the matchup advantage over our D at every single position. That team has great personal on any comparative basis. Our D was competitive until they were completely gassed. Reddick sucked last year in the 3/4. We are amazingly thin at LB. Rucker was decidedly more stout and in position than anyone else on the inside of our D and we had a veteran rotation on our DL that was simply better. That's personal. On 0 that's a completely different story. Bradford must have looked decent in training camp when he didn't have to worry about contact. He got almost zero playing time in preseason. He didn't throw a pass more than 10 yards in pre-season. He has been absolutely a dissaster. In fairness to Bradford he was never an elite QB and he hasn't really played football for a year. He's at best a game manager and we don't have the talent on O right now to move the football with a game manager who can't attack the football field. Every new HC in the NFL lost game 1. The new CBA drastically reduced the amount of practices both before and during the season. It allowed younger college players to get drafted into the league. There is a huge turnover in rosters every year. There are young guys who aren't NFL ready players who have to play. We have a new coaching staff, a new QB, a new No. 2 WR a new No. 2 CB along with a couple of scrubs at Linebacker because Reddick isn't ready to play NFL football. The entire defense relies on NK to suck up blocks and keep guys clean. He hasn't done it consistently. He shows flashes but he's not as good as Rucker and some of the older rotational guys we had last year, like Mauro and Martin and even though Dansby was slow as molasses he still was a veteran who knew how to use his hands and had an instinct for where the play was going. This is a rebuilding year. I expected to lose to the Rams. They killed us twice last year. Neither game was manageable. The Redskins game was disappointing but it's game 1. They were healthy and had a year under the coaching staff. They were a little faster and crisper and were positioned to make plays and did. I have to admit I hate McCoy's O and I absolutely hated signing Bradford. We did both. Rosen's development is what's really important this year. figuring out who is going to be dumped and who is going to play is what this years about. This Chicago game is really important. I don't think our O can handle their D at all. That said they played Monday night and they are traveling. Were at home. The Chicago O has some good personal but they also have a young QB who could turn the ball over. This is a game where our O is going to be under pressure but we still should be able to hang with the Bears. I don't think we will win but I want to see improvement. Personally I think Glennon should be active and if Bradford looks at all gun shy you put Glennon in right away. It's going to be tough to score but McCoy is going to have to figure something out to earn his pay. If he can't he can walk when we decide Bradford should be cut. Bad teams with new staffs look bad. I wouldn't make to much of it. One thing that does make me nervous is some of the things Wilks is saying. I'm going to chalk it up to his first year along with the incredible scrutiny. It's all new to him. This league will eat your lunch if you don't adjust. Lossing sucks. Bradford was brought in as a placeholder. We got lucky in the draft. Lets see which young players should be on this team next year.

honesty you want...
my school didn't have football but if our basketball team had played this poorly 2 games in a row our coach wudda run us in the next practices until we puked.
Bradford-was a "name" signing...any real evaluation of sam would have been: DONT SIGN THIS GUY FOR 20 MIL
McCoy-we have no idea why wilks liked him but again any real evaluation would have been: time for this guy to coach in the ncaa
the other 3 need areas wr, corner and OL WERE NOT ADDRESSED PROPERLY BY SK-PERIOD...PUGH IS THE ONLY FREE AGENT SIGNING HE MADE IN THESE AREAS THAT WAS AN UPGRADE(maybe bene BUT hes not starting??)
the cards best options on offense are of course larry and dj: a first grader drawing plays in the dirt would figure out how to get the ball to these guys
the first 2 games have been the worst ive ever watched of the cards: they have played worse than the steve psarkcwiec(sp?) team-he started one game when hart was hurt..lindley at least tried...max hall tried to win by willpower and at least skelton threw the ball downfield tho often to the other team...hell, even john Navarre threw a td pass and tim rattay played way better than sam has so far.
this team was at a crossroads after last season-they have made the wrong turn-question is how quickly will mb realize that?
to paraphrase allen inerson: TACKLE? TACKLE? TACKLE?
sam is clearly not reading the defense and is only trying to get rid of the ball before he gets hit. ive said all along that he was a poser and wilts at the least bit of pressure.
which of these is true: 1-coaches and players lied when they said sam was lighting it up in practice or the statement above?
