Both are losers so they would be wise to join the desperate Cardinals. But, how does Larry feel about all this?

Wasn’t Gordon traded to NE? He is more talented but Dez is available and I said a couple weeks ago we should try to sign a one year deal with him if we have cap space. At least Fitz and Dez can catch in traffic.

At least Fitz and Dez can catch in traffic. Dez took note of Gordon's signing and Floyd's signing this week so far. Both cost almost nothing to team payrolls. Dez can also find a team, but first he's got let go of his multi-million dollar multi-year contract demand. Dez's 'people' need to talk some sense into his head. I agree, the man can play ball. So I ask him, "Why not do it?"

Dez hasn’t been the Dez of old anyway. Instead of being a guy you put up with despite his diva WR antics because of his production, he’s just been all antics.
Gordon is a moot issue now.
Either way, this year isn’t about winning. I’m not sure why people can’t accept that and see the bigger picture. I am not for throwing games or a season, but some years in any sport are going to be rebuilds. We have all new QBs, new coaches, new offensive and defensive playbooks. Lots of new players. We are preparing this team to support a QBOF beginning next year. We are evaluating the team in advance of a huge cap spending spree in 2019.
Any signing this year should not be to try and win games this year, but to improve the team over the next 3-5 years. Otherwise it’s cap money poorly spent.

Gordon..... it’s all about the $$$ for Gordon.. he hasn’t made much.. I believe he is in year six of a four year contract. He still playing in his rookie contract. He’s got maybe five good years to make life-changing money.
If I were making the decision, if he’d com to the desert, I’d do a conditional 5th... ALL DAY LONG!! But we don’t know the whole story, and I bet there’s lots of info out there that NFL teams share. I think he will be a steal for the rest of 2018. Now, I doubt he will sign a long term there. But he is a restricted FA next season.. if he plays well, and stays away from the herb.. they will keep him around... he will still make more $$$ next season, than he has since the day he was drafted, combined.. marijuana laws have changed, they test for ped’s. If they do a marijuana test in a state that it’s legal.. I think they overlook those things more often.. in the off season these guys should be able to use recreational pot.. JMHO
edit: if there is some type of problem that any player has while under the influence of any intoxicating substance, that is handled just like alcohol...

Gordon can be a game changer. I would have liked to see the Cards kick the tires on him before the Pats snagged him.

Literally the only reason to not sign Dez is if he's asking for wayyyy to much. Anything realistic and he should be signed.
Why do people care about his "antics"? Not only are they overblown, but they are pretty irrelevant.
Or we can just continue on with our choir boys who can't catch a pass to save their lives. That'll work.

Hmmm, I'm almost looking for some antics from somebody if it does anything to get this steaming pile out of the morgue. As the great George Carlin said, once you give up hope you're free to enjoy yourself. If Bryant is willing to work for peanuts and we can enjoy ourselves let's do it. Isn't the functioning alcoholic the master of finding veterans who can still play and signing them to one year deals?

I seriously can’t wait to see what Keim does with the 5th round pick next year that’s so wonderful, it wasn’t worth giving Gordon a shot

What's the worst Dez could do? It's not like he's going to poison the locker room. The team is garbage. If he's really THAT bad of an influence, get rid of him.
