With only one touchdown to his name so far as an NFL head coach, Steve Wilks isn't hitting the panic button on the Arizona Cardinals' slow start.
In the wake of their 34-0 thrashing by the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Wilks said everyone on team would be evaluated -- even quarterback Sam Bradford. On Monday, Wilks indicated he wasn't ready to give Bradford's starting job to rookie Josh Rosen.
"I think Sam is doing well," Wilks said during a news conference Monday. "Is he inconsistent? Yes. Does he need to be a little bit more accurate? Yes. But that's just not Sam, we need to get a little bit more protection.
"He needs to have a little bit more time to go through his progression. I don't think it's just one particular unit -- offense, defense or special teams -- or one particular guy. There's plenty of things we need to improve on across the board."

This man should be lighting a fire under Bradford's ass and this is the crap he says? C'mon man. I didn't like the HC hiring. I hated the OC hiring. But I'm still rooting for them and hoping they can figure it out. The one thing I cant stand is when coaches sugarcoat crap in their interviews. Just man up and tell it like it is or don't do the interview at all IMO. Still hoping they can prove me wrong and turn it around but if we finish 2-14 I would hope we fire the coaching staff and try again. Rebuilding or not you would think a professional team should be able to win at least 2 games... Hopefully they can turn this dumpster fire around.

He's got 15 million plus over 300K for each game he plays. There's nothing wrong with saying Sam has played poorly and if he doesn't turn it around he's going to be benched. If Sam can't handle the truth cut his ass. Wilks had the balls to say the problem was accountability. Someone should tell him that the players and coaches are accountable to him. I like the guy and I want him to succeed. I also recognize this is a rebuild. But, he better get his head out of his ass fast or he's going to lose an incredible opportunity.

New Coach and he's setting a bonfire under the Team the last coach built. Watch it burn. I even hate to say this but this Is Larry's last year. Wilks and Co. are making sure of that.

"Sam is doing okay"
90 yards passing last game. The worst of his career. This after a TERRIBLE opening game. Only went past midfield in the last 30 seconds. WOW.
The NFL is about adjustments. After the whitewashing in game one did anybody notice anything different?
This is biblically bad. I don't think we will be 0-16 but I can see 2-4 wins max this year.

Maybe Sam will pull a Vontae Davis and retire at halftime of the Bears game. We could use the salary cap relief.

Head Coaches lie in the media. I miss Jim Mora. Maybe we can bring him in as guest translator.
Wilks: "I think Sam is playing pretty well under the circumstances."
Mora: "He sucks, he absolutely sucks! He can't complete a pass! He's supposed to be this deadly accurate passer and he can't complete a throw ten yards downfield! He sucks, he absolutely sucks!"
Wilks: "We did a lot of good things early."
Mora: "For about three minutes we looked somewhat competent, after that we sucked! We absolutely sucked! We escorted Gurley into the end zone on the last play of the half, so who cares about doing something decent early! We absolutely suck!"

Sams out there tossing lemons ! Like another QB not so long ago over shooting every body but the cheer leaders and the parking lot. I don't think Sams ever going to find his way back to any sort of rhythm ..Its gone to the voices in his head holding him back saying live another day at the teams expense .. We really cant evaluate the D when there out on the field most of the game. I aint saying to toss in Josh just yet but its time to hit the next button now....
