4 areas of need b4 season were qb, ol, wr, corner. wilks wants power running team so sk/sw build ol that is ok in run blocking but awful in pass protection and sign an immobile, skittish qb??? wr was addressed only thru draft?? Jamaal taylor was the best cards could do at corner?? (imho bene should start next week). NONE OF THESE 4 CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AREAS OF NEED WERE ADDRESSED PROPERLY AND THIS IS WHY SK MUST GO. I didn't like McCoy hiring but sw doesn't deserve all the blame-he can only coach the players he has-so far he has failed at "coaching up" dbs which was supposedly his forte.
qb room of gabbert, Stanton and rosen looks pretty good now, doesn't it? if cards had kept those 2 there would have been money for at least one top wr, ol or corner.
I fear that unless the cards actually are very aggressive in free agency next year and manage to draft 4 players who can contribute right away they are headed for a decade of ineptness.
don't forget dl-Gunther is ok for a back up, kim has to go period as does taylor and jj and Brandon Williams and chad
this is exactly what I predicted and expected after seeing cards offseason moves and draft...actually its much worse than I expected.
if I were mb I would personally look each player in the eye this week as I handed them their game checks.
I predict another bad loss against bears...possibly another shutout as the bears will load the box and send mack after sam.

MB extended SK with 2 years left on his contract. MB is all in on SK.

Mike McCoy - The OC that never ran an offense that was higher than 19th in the NFL in scoring - outside of his one year as intern in Peyton Manning's offense. Between his atrocious offense and our lack of weapons at WR - I'd hate to see Josh Rosen on the field. Say what you want about Bradford - but I've seen him have more success than this in every other offense he's been in, the problem starts with this OC. When your only success comes with Peyton Manning, I'm skeptical.

MB extended SK with 2 years left on his contract. MB is all in on SK. That was before the summer of pizza and beer. I think Mike is probably a bit like Michael Corelone was with Fredo on New Year's Eve in Havana in 1959. Keim broke his heart.
