nfl cities should start declaring imminent domain and seizing nfl teams who have incompetent owners for the benefit of the community just like homes were seized to build the stadium for the benefit of the community. that way if the problem with the team is the owner it can be rectified. when owners feel the pressure and know they can be replaced we'll see them trying harder. there should be a rule that if a team misses the playoffs for X amount of years the owner is the ex owner. and any 0-16 season should trigger it immediately. if people homes can be taken for a team for the benefit of the community then the team can be taken for the benefit of the community for the same reason. I wasn't aware of any eminent domain abuse to get the stadium built, meaning I don't think any government used eminent domain to force anyone to sell for a "public use" and if it's for a privately-used stadium that would be eminent domain abuse. All transactions to acquire the land were private, agreed to by the parties. Correct me if I'm wrong. I oppose taxpayer funding of ANY stadium for any private business, and I voted no on the proposition to give the Cardinals their handout.
OK with my Libertarian rant about eminent domain abuse out of the way, while I can certainly sympathize with your point it doesn't fly since NFL teams are private property and there would be no clear "public use" in any government taking them. Heck I can just imagine all of the governments fighting to be the one doing the taking (city of Glendale, county of Maricopa, city if Tempe, state of Arizona). I think European soccer leagues "cast out" the lousiest teams from their leagues, so maybe that would work. Imagine the NFL putting owners on notice that their franchises go POOF! if they don't perform at a certain level over a number of years. Can't see it ever happening, but it's nice red meat to chew on in the midst of a top-to-bottom failure that is the 2018 Cardinals.
One of the weaknesses of the NFL is that with the salary cap and revenue sharing the owner(s) of the crappiest franchises can still make a buck. If they want to make more money they can succeed and sell more t shirts, sponsorships, naming rights deals, whatever. So fan bases are dependent on owner(s) who take losing personally. Old Man Bidwill didn't seem to care, or not enough. I think Mike would sooner swallow ground glass than make $50 million while presiding over a train wreck. He's wired differently than his dad and, I think anyway, a fair amount of his siblings. That's our biggest hope right now.

The cards may not be the most desperate 0-2 team.. They are definitely searching for an identity on both sides of the ball.. there are a couple things that concern me, moving forward..
#1 the team has so many defensive specialist, that just don’t fit the 4-3 scheme. I do believe that the front 7 is playing the worst. Defensive backs have a chance to improve with more time together.
#2 the OL is not a good fit with the dink n dunk scheme.. Bradford is so immobile, it’s hard to see them improving much..
I can’t remember when the Cardinals had a good OL.. In the draft it seems, They are trying to make diamonds out of lumps of coal.. the hybrid defensive players they have drafted, just don’t fit the traditional 4-3 scheme they are putting into the game plan..
The Cardinals are not going to be competitive until 2020.. The toughest fix is going to be OL and LB..
Good Luck! Go Cardinals!

I became a warrior against eminent domain abuse in 2003 with the Randy Bailey brake shop case, then the atrocious 2005 Kelo case, which led to state/local governments reining in the despicable practice. I feel a bit dirty now, knowing I drag myself into a stadium built at least in part on land taken via eminent domain abuse. BTW the airport is IMO a valid public use where eminent domain can and should apply. Stadium for the benefit of private businesses, no.

If your going to be bad be very bad because at least we can get excited about the number one pick overall.
And based on the first two games it's not even close we couldn't compete in the CFL.
I'm very skeptical about putting in Rosen. not so much for our Oline but our lack of offensive weapons and play calling. It's atrocious.
We have to open the field up a little go get DJ an opportunity. Are we protecting Bradford from injury? Is there any reason why we cant send JJ on a go route to see what happens?

ESPN's laugh meter for predicting the a game winner by percentage 00.1% to 99.1% is interesting to watch during game time. Those ESPN algorithms are sneaky good.
A week ago, the Redskins had the Cardinals by the throat (99% victory chance) with 7:22 to go in the third quarter. 0-1.
The Rams had the Cardinals by the throat too and hit 99% victory chance at 11:14 to go in the 3rd quarter yesterday, at exactly the same time Fox pulled the plug on the boring broadcast! 0-2.
Chicago is on the clock next weekend. Can it get worse for the Cardinals? Yes it can and probably will.

no problem one. I knew because I live about 3 miles from the stadium and they were knocking on my door every weekend for a few months for my signature. I tried to explain I could only sign once. I was easy close access I guess.

Who's the most desperate? The Cards have scored 6 points in 2 games. The Chiefs have 80. Next worse is the Bills (and Bears but they play tonight), with 23 points. I'd say the Cards were pretty desperate. I didn't watch the Redskins game, but it sounds like they were convincingly beaten. That doesn't help the desperation any. I did watch the Skins because that was the only early game on the tube in NE VA. The Skins were competitive but the Colts just muscled up big time and really played well against the AD led run game. See, that's how good teams do it...they all study the film!No AD running game, thus, no Smith passing game. Gruden was befuddled. His schemes worked so well v. flaccid Arizona a week prior. The Colts easily won their first game while the Skins lost their first game.

The Lions are just as bad. Patricia is already fighting dissent from some of his veterans. And as the article points out the Bills, Raiders, Texans, NYG, and loser of tonights game are all in the same boat. Yeah, we have competition for the bottom spot. Lions actually had that game won against the 49ers. Jimmy G threw a terrible pick 6 at the end of the game while trying to kill clock, but the Lions got screwed on a phantom defensive holding penalty that supposedly happened on the other side of the field.

If the Bears would've not had Akaumara's late pick 6 against Seachickens they would be vying for top spot.
The Seachickens did not pull a RW magic rabbit act out this time, so they are desperate as well.
The Lions with the bad call are desperate too. As so are the Bills, Texans, Raiders and NYGs.
But the Cards are the Most desperate today.
4 rookies HCs, 2 HCs that have won SBs in the past, And 1 vet HC that always seems to struggle (O'Brien). 7 teams with uphill climbs. Some have bigger hills to climb than others.

Yep, saw that play and thought Garrapollo asked to be picked. And he was. About the holding, that one could go either way. The Defender had no business even man-touching the WR, but he did. And DET paid. Lastly, Ref's make phantom calls all the time. Mistakes are part of the game. Fortunately, NY replay is eliminating the worst calls which makes the game fairer.

They had a twitter poll of who was the worst of the winless teams and it was easily the cards followed by the Bills.
