Lots of doublespeak coming out of Cardinal camp regarding this guy.
"He's got a unique skill set, fast and physical".
Yet.
He played 14 snaps against the Redskins and Wilks says "we have to put the best 11 players on the field at any given time".
This should have been the year he would be busting out not trying to "understand the defense" (which usually means you're plain and simply not good enough).
I still have faith in this guy simply because he's a hard worker with a great attitude. He walked on at Temple and earned everything going from safety to DE and becoming a star. Unlike Nkimdeche, he's not a lazy entitled athlete.
I think by the end of the year we will see much more of what we wanted to when we drafted him. Against the Redskins they played a lot of 4-2-5 leaving him off the field.
One thing for sure is Keim needs to start getting production from his first rounders. Simply brutal what we have witnessed. A chimp could pick players and have more success.

They're saying he is having a rookie year they switched from inside to outside linebacker due to injuries last year.

Isn't it year 2 when future defensive stars separate themselves from defensive also-rans?
I am waiting patiently for Reddick to blossom.
We should start see something good now even if some coaches think he's a 2-year rookie.

3 position changes, 2 Defensive schemes thru 2 off seasons, and 1 year of Regular season in the Old scheme. Yeah he's basically a rookie in a new Defense with a new scheme.
Don't know what all the hub bub is about. Let the young man learn his new position(s) and the talent will come out.

Anytime the defensive scheme changes, players need to adjust. Give him some time.
If he can’t adjust, then it will be time to make a tough decision. His abilities may not be a good fit for the 4-3. Too soon to tell.. IMHO

LB Haason Reddick has 'special skillset,' is going through another rookie year There was a lot of hope for second-year linebacker Haason Reddick of the Arizona Cardinals. He struggled through his rookie season, first learning inside linebacker and then having to move to outside linebacker in the middle of the season because of injuries. He was expected to be a starter in the Cardinals’ new defensive system, but over the last couple of weeks his role changed. Now he has a very limited role, while the team plays in nickel almost exclusively. --------- Defensive coordinator Al Holcomb still believes in him, but the challenge has been to give him the right opportunities. So far, they are taking advantage of his many different raw skills. “He’s got a special skill set,” Holcomb told reporters after practice Thursday. “He’s athletic, He’s fast. He’s physical. “At this point, we’re just trying to find the right niche for him in our defense. Sometimes it’s coming off the edge. Sometimes it’s playing at the second level. You can move him around because of the skillset, which is a positive.” He played in only 14 snaps on Sunday against the Washington Redskins, but he was able to produce some. In those 14 snaps, he had four tackles, including a tackle for loss. --------- However, one thing will concern Cardinals fans. “Really, this is like his rookie year again,” Holcomb said. 2017 was almost a wasted year for him. 2018 he has a limited role. On a team where first-round picks have been slow to contribute in a major way, there is the fear he might never develop into anything more than a niche player. www.google.com/amp/s/cardswire.usatoday.com/2018/09/13/az-arizona-cardinals-haason-reddick-defensive-role/amp/

Great dude. Will make good money in his NFL career. Probably bouncing from team to team. But hes a bust. No its not too soon to say that. And its not his fault either. I have the same outlook of Reddick as I do Nkemdiche. Athleticism does not = talent. Keim should know that, but he doesnt. Keim has alot of Al Davis in him. He falls in love with combine numbers and speed. Ignores ability. "We can coach him up!". No you cant.
You listen to all these coaches comments about how special and unique he is. For a dude that ultra special, he sure doesnt contribute much does he? Dont listen to that nonsense. The truthful comment should be this: "Haasan is ultra athletic, but hes badly struggling to learn the position of LB. And hes too small for DE. So we are kind of stuck with him right now. Not sure what to do".
Even if we dont fire Keim, we really need to put someone new in charge of the draft. Keim has proven unanimously hes not a good scout.

It’s more about your first round pick (high pick) playing 14 snaps in his second year. Are there challenges facing him out of his control? 100%, but its just a continuation of not getting anything out of your picks and that is beyond frustrating. You would at least with his size and speed he would be a special teams demon. Dude doesnt even get noticed. It really stinks that he had to move outside last year, because that is not the position for him and it literally did waste a year of his development. But I would think he would get some more time. I have not given up on him because of the circumstances but it doesn’t look good. He just may not be a fit for this scheme at all.

So hes run the gamete of options. Theres nowhere left to go. He either better learn LB or find a new career.

Have not given up totally on him learning though. He has had some funky circumstances against his development. I just expect to see something and its not there.

I'd give him til next season given what the coaches are saying I expect a huge leap but people react it took Alex Smith a long time to get where he is. Players never stop learning or improving especially with good coaching and development.
I think Drone Buchannon looked bad and was beaten often in coverage that is concerning because he has been in the league longer.

You can have good coaching and some development, but it takes several years to get the natural instincts. If he ever does. What seperate the great LB's from the good ones are their instinct.
Another one drafted out of position when there were a lot of good LB still on the board. Not to mention other positions. With equally or better players who wouldn't be changing positions and have to start from scratch.

I think the good news is LB is a position you can find in later rounds. The Packers have 2 very good ILBs.
Blake Martinez and Jake Ryan. Both 4th rounders. The Browns Joe Schobert, also 4th round. All white boys, lol.
So next year: draft a 4th round white boy LB and theres a 100% chance hes a star.
