Apparently, Jeff Okudah of the Lions is having a hard time adjusting like our own Cardinal Isaiah Simmons is to the NFL game.

CJ Henderson had some issues last night as well. Forgot to tag a receiver when he fell; the guy simply got up and ran for 5 or so extra yards. Its gotta be tough for these rookies to face off against the NFL's best. Murphy had his fair share of problems last year too.

Could be an interesting development. We already allow 5 yards per rush. While this is a small sample if data with outliers, I still think that someone like Phillips is important vs RBs. Couple this with Golladay coming back, and we might have an issue vs play-action. I know two things that are going on behind the scenes. Devon Kennard is giving the Cardinals coaching staff all he knows about the Detroit Lions having played for them last year. Likewise, Chris Jones of The Lions who plated DB for the Cardinals last year is doing the same. cardinalsins, Your point about Detroit's play-action is most valid. Since 2017 Matthew Stafford is probably the best QB at play action. He dominates in play action passing. With Golladay back he has his big target. Here is how Golladay and Stafford beat us on this play last season. www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/eagle-eye-matthew-stafford-is-still-a-gunslinger Devon Kennard played for the Lions the last 2 yrs, as I mentioned in a post above yours.

If I. Simmons makes a big play in this game, it will be good for the team and his confidence moving forward. The Cards are going to need him and his skills. It's that additional X factor that can propel a team to the playoffs or further.

I think this game will surprise people. Lions have the best offense we will face. They will put up some points. This game will be very close and I can see the Lions actually winning, but it will come down to the end. I know the Lions have the worst run D in football. If we cant run against them it's a concern. This is for sure a trap game.

I consider the Detroit Lions to be very dangerous Sunday, like all lions in the jungles. Advantage Birds.

The lions have their own share of oline problems. Pressure Matthew

This doesn't warrant a new thread so I thought I would put this here. Granted, there are many pundits that are jumping on the Cards bandwagon, but there are still some naysayers. Keyshawn Johnson bets Burns & Gambo that the Cardinals won’t win 8
I almost wish there was more naysayers just so we can prove them wrong. As for me, I have been trying to keep my expectations in check. Before the the season started, I thought 8 wins was very doable and even expected. After these first two wins, I now think a play-off birth is within our grasp. I still remain cautious, but these were two good wins. Considering everything I thought about this team before the season started, I couldn't be happier and its been fun. Go Cards!!!!

Golloday said he hope to play . He said he isn’t 100 so I love the idea of Vance letting Dre shadow him some

And an injury report for the Lions. cardswire.usatoday.com/2020/09/25/desmond-trufant-upgraded-hunter-bryant-downgraded-for-lions/Hunter Bryant was the guy I was desperate for us to draft in the later rounds. - I couldn't believe that he wasn't drafted at all (Detroit picked him up as an UDFA). In the cold light of day I think he was overlooked due to past injury issues. I hope he plays on Sunday and then we take a good look at what we might be missing, although I assume that he must be a doubtful starter at this point.
