The Lions have severe O/D problems with no fixes in sight. The Cardinals are rapidly improving in all phases of the game.
However, we all saw last year's opener v. the Lions and know they can bite an opponent at anytime.
Kingsbury will have his club ready for another hard fight to the end.

This is the team the Cards Need to steamroll! Put up a 40 burger and hold the toothless Lions to under 17 points.

I wouldn't discount Hockenberry so readily. He made us look foolish last year. True test for our Cardinals in the sense that we should roll over the Lions convincingly but have demonstrated in the past that we like to play down to the competition and always like to make these games closer than they should be.

The lions must be low on confidence and I can only imagine they are dreading coming out to Arizona. If the Cardinals really click and cut out all the little errors then we will overwhelm them. Prediction? - What about a seemingly ridiculous 54 - 16. I am expecting a riot!!

Both the Lions and Jets players are hoping their HC's are fired -- get up on them early and make them devoid of any hope.

I pretty much agree. Partly due to not having any pre-season games, we are not hitting on all cylinders yet. I think as the season goes on, our offensive line will get better, our other wide receivers will get more involved and our running game will get going. I don't want to jinx us, but as long as KK continues to adapt his offensive strategy like he did last year, the sky is the limit.

This seems like a game where Drake is going to need to run between the tackles effectively and the defense needs to get pressure/sacks on Stafford. Golladay is back and he seems like the type of receiver that will give Peterson fits. I feel this is a good opportunity for the defense to have a huge game and as a result Kyler Murray will be able to methodically operate the offense, make some plays in the passing game, and hand the ball off to Drake.

I don't see the Lions giving us much difficulty at State Farm Stadium this Sunday. I think the Lions may have some lingering issues about last year's tie, which might give them some extra motivation, but this year's game will not resemble last year's game in any way:
Kyler was playing in his 1st NFL start- it took him 3 full quarters to get going. He's grown and added the run dimension to his game since then.. he's SO much better now than he was that Sunday.
Our defense has significantly upgraded it's overall talent. We have 2 NFL starting CB's we didn't have last year. We have better talent all over the board and a year in VJ's system. I'm not worried about their TE nearly as much... Devondre Campbell can handle it.
I think this comes down to their defense being completely incapable of stopping our offense- Jeff Okudah may be great someday, but someday isn't Sunday. He'll get exposed- someone is going to light it up.
I see us putting up points early, then getting to Stafford as Detroit has to abandon the run - Chandler Jones will have multiple sacks, our D will get pick.... Cards 42 Lions 13.

Very good post and analysis azcardsdingus.
Cards 42 - Lions 13 - I think that you will be very close to the mark on this one.
I will leave it to another one to 'officially' welcome you to the board, but thanks for joining and posting from me!

I hope the team is not overconfident. Detroit can still be dangerous with golladay and haxan. In spite of the overall Detroit team seemingly in disarray as usual given time Stafford can really throw the ball and he will not quit. In my humble opinion the biggest thing Coach K let's get done this week is clean up all the penalties. I do predict a Cardinal win but do not think it will be a blowout
