This is a very dangerous team. The Redskins have one of the best front sevens. They had 8 sacks in the last game. If their offense wasn't putrid, that would be a really scary team. This is exactly the type of team that could expose us. This is not your typical Redskins team. Our offensive line isn't particularly strong. We didn't show the ability to run inside. Most of our plays were made by Kyler making plays with his feet and buying time. You can't play that type of game against the Redskins. Their defense can get to the quarterback.

You win by keeping their D off balance if possible. Expect Drake and Edmonds to be very active in this game. Must avoid turnovers at all costs. See a lot of draws, quick passing attack, much like a Chiefs attack. Play up tempo to tire the D. Yes this is a very dangerous team, and they are playing with a “us against the world” and for their coach with cancer. I would actually rather play anybody else except them right now.

I want to see the following: - Screens to Drake/Edmonds ...preferably Edmonds who has a good feel in space to avoid tackles.
- RPO's -- put pressure on their young DE's
- Jet Sweeps to Isabella
- Establish Run early and PLAY ACTION passing -- take some deep shots [NOTE: This article points out the Washington secondary depth is their weakness - CB Depth a Weakness ]
I would hope that Kirk can beat their #3- #4 CB

How good are the skins in their secondary? Man I dont know scat about anyone's team this year I dont expect to do very well in the pick um league this year..lol WFT's secondary is average on paper and was not pushed hard last week v. PHI's offense. Overall, the defense ranks high, #4, so far. QB Wentz was ineffective most pass plays due to defensive man coverages and blitz packages. Certainly, the WTF will get tested by Kingsbury and Murray on Sunday. BACKGROUND COMMENTS -- In 2018, when Cardinals rookie HC Steve Wilks and QB Sam Bradford opened the season against the then average Redskins, Steve was a boy among men and and Sam was terrible all day long. RB David Johnson got just 37 yards on the ground, most in the garbage 4th quarter. Cards lost that game by the way. The Cardinals offense controlled the ball I think about 20 of 60 minutes on the game clock. WTF's HC Ron Rivera took note of Arizona's defense throttling of San Francisco's vaunted offense on 3rd downs last week. The O converted 2 of 9, or close to that. the O converted 0 of 2 on 4th down. That defensive statistic is no fluke. Except for two big plays, Arizona practically shut down San Francisco. The scoreboard was deceptive.

9/18/20 Game Week NEWS UPDATES
TEAM TO TEAM SEGMENT
Julie Donaldson of the Washington Football Team & Craig Grialou of Our Arizona Cardinals talk about this weeks upcoming game.
This is a scary team Forum members. We need to make them make mistakes. Ron Rivera is a tough coach and now has Jack Del Rio helping him on the defense.

49ers have a dominant front seven as well. Expect a similar game plan on offense. Ball out quick, not a ton of running unless we take a decent lead, and let Kyler run when that’s what they give us.

Maxx's health and availability is starting to worry me. - Darrell Daniels needs to step-up and really show that he can deliver in this role.

You are right that Washington will be pumped up for this game and they will certainly prove to be a dangerous opponent. - However, I disagree about wishing to not be playing them though. Let us take on the best and hardest, not bypass such. - I think we will too much on Offense for Washington to hold us all game, whereas they might find it hard to score. Prediction, as before, 24 - 10 win for the Cardinals. - Great game at the weekend folks!

Well Texan fans were pretty upset at the loss of Jordan Thomas so maybe he can step up too. Hope so! - Maybe its time to get him up onto the main roster. Although we don't know the extent of Williams's injury he does seems to have been struggling all season long. He also had a lot of problems previously in Baltimore. - Hopefully, this time its only a minor issue and he and will be back firing for the team in no-time?!

With the new rules they can bring Thomas up from practice squad on a game by game basis and then back to squad after the game.
