I'm honestly more upset about Washington being rated in the bottom half (#17) than I am the Cards being #31.
We should ask the question "Is the loss attributed to the Cards being so bad, or the Skins being so good?" My best answer is BOTH.
The list is highly questionable when they have a 1-0 Washington team (that just won an away game) ranked behind six 0-1 teams. Washington should be #12. And if they were, our ranking wouldn't be so abysmal. (But it's a ranking, so who cares?)

It was 30 minutes of horrible football on both sides of the ball. 60 minutes of horrible offense as the defense showed some life the last 30 minutes of the game. Can't imagine taking the team we saw the first half of last week to LA to play the Rams is going to net us any kind of positive results. I guess we can only hope the team that we saw the second half shows up for the whole game with a little more offensive output.
Disturbingly like teams of the past (the ol' Cardiac Cards) that let teams jump out to an early lead and then had to produce a heroic effort to eke out a win except without the win. Hate it when we are constantly playing from behind and would love to see us actually score first for a change.
Our power rankings are accurate based on our performance last week. We can still drop into last place if we lay an egg in LA but am thinking we put out a more consistent effort and at least give the Rams a run for their money if not an out right win.

It's week 1...
Ravens are getting pounded by Cincinnati right now after everyone thought they looked like Gods for beating the Bills.
Anything can still happen.

the rams would spank the skins and the skins just spanked us. we are gonna lose. remember when we were all laughing about only winning 5 games this year? the skins was one of the 5 we were favored in. that's how bad we are now. we are even worse than the odds makers had us pegged at, which I think was worst in the nfl. I think we are the new clevland.

Ravens have lost the last 8 of 10 games against the Bengals. People who thought the Ravens would just cruise past the Bengals haven't been paying attention.

Its in fact a survival technique (we are just animals after all). If we are always on edge, we are more capable of responding to predators. So with that in mind, our brains are naturally always searching for worst case scenarios. So if expectations really did = reality, then youd have a horrible nightmare life

Cardinals started out cold in the first half but I was encouraged by what I saw in the second half. It is expected for week one for there to be kinks but at the end of the day it is one loss.

Hint, they didn't use the 3 yard passing game.
