As I predicted, Cardinals would rank 31 thanks to the Bills horrible game vs the Ravens. Now I know power rankings dont mean diddle to most of you. But this year I think I will report on it each week. Only from the NFL.com website though...
Rank: 31
Previous Rank: 25 Dropped 6 spots
Notes from the author:
Oof. If not for the drubbing of the Bills, more people would've noticed how the Cardinals flew into a windshield Sunday afternoon. Arizona generated all of 213 yards of offense, with one third-down conversion and one (late) touchdown. New head coach Steve Wilks comes from a defensive background, most recently in Carolina. Super. His defense got throttled through the air and sea, until the Redskins called off the dogs in the fourth quarter. The Cards were so bad, I can't even get the phrase right. Air and land.

Ouch.... can't argue what is said much except 90% of the damage was done in the first half and maybe they can leave that half in the past and get better.

#31 is well deserved based on the execution we saw on the field and the overall team performance stats. I certainly don't see the Cards sludge-level ranking improving much this year. The right workforce assets just aren't on this team.
I wonder, has any team ever gone from #31 ranking to #1 in just 15 games? This team dropped 6 spots in a week, so I could see it happening in 5 weeks, if my arithmetic is right. 5-1 by early October. You heard it here first.

Hard to believe we were the talk of the NFL going into 2016. Big swagger, national t.v. to open season against NE on SUnday night football.
Now we look like a usual Cardinals team.

Very fair.
That was an 0-16 offense and 2-14 defense
We need to hit a complete season reset next game or the season might be over already

I was kind of excited about this season. Not anymore. Look, that game sucked all the way around. One game making you lose excitement is dramatic. You may very well be right, but people need to stop being so extreme. Too excited over things and too devastated by others. It’s like a bunch of women, I get all that drama in dating and cant even escape it here. We might suck but wait until after the Bears game to decide or maybe even after Seattle. Do not expect it to get better this week. If they somehow pulled off a miracle then the board will be the opposite and be putting us in the Super Bowl. Anyone who was expecting too much was always setting themselves up for disappointment.

Because had our performance just been bad or disappointing, we couldve delt with that. Get em next time. It happens. What we werent prepared for was a team every bit as horrible as the Skelton/Hall/Kolb days. It was really shockingly DOA. I wouldve been happy with a bad game. Sundays performance stole all optimism is was so void

The offense has 0-16 written all over it and the defense aint that far behind.

Agreeing with Zaz doesnt win any points. They looked horrible, I cannot argue that. It’s ONE game. THey could be that way all year, we dont know yet. It’s embarassing and frustrating but saying this defines the whole season already is a bit premature. I may be saying the same thing in 3 weeks, but I am willing to let them see if they can sort it out first.

If it continues like that, we will be seeing Rosen anyhow and he will at least make it exciting with some growing pains. I dont recall a worse first half, so I’m with you on how horrible. Assuming thats how it will be all year is premature. AGAIN, you might be right, but lets give them a couple games. I dont see it getting better this week so it will only fuel your fire, but maybe we are surprised.

Work your way up to clinical depression by Thursday night football. Start thinking it's just a matter of a couple of adjustments by Friday night and by Sunday morning Super Bowl or bust. Football is a game of drama and it's an emotional game. It's only Wednesday, if you don't have a warm bath drawn, you're not all in.
