Rosen is not ready.. No reason to throw him to the lions. This is not the time to freak out!! Glennon should have played in the 4th quarter. Glennon would be the biggest change of pace. Rosen needs more time, if he were to play, he would be running the same type of dink n dunk philosophy as Bradford. Glennon would be the best at running a different type of offense. Bradford is our QB, and Glennon is the only option we have, if they want to change to a play option type offense.. Glennon would run around like his hair is on fire. That’s not Bradford or Rosen’s game. The team is rebuilding.. The offensive line needs to gel before they throw Rosen into the game..I was disappointed with the effort of the defense. Diche did improve, I wonder if it had anything to do with Big money contract in Chicago. Go Cardinals! Highly doubt if Bradford continues this kind of play the kid won't be out there. It happens to all first round Qb's when the guy ahead of them stinks.

You can stick a fork in him. He's no longer an NFL QB. Throwing Bradford out to face the Rams and Bears is criminal. I would start Glennon the next two weeks and give Rosen reps against SF and and the Seahawks.

Or are you talking about his sack when he was left unguarded? I didn't see much from anybody on the Dline which would suggest anybody was any good. The only guy on D who stood out a little was CJ. He put in maximum effort and was stifled for the most part by all pro Trent Williams. Who happened to be the guy the Fox announcer called Andre Smith. Fox again with a poorly called game. We always get their B team. At least Barber wasn't there to butcher everything up.

Mind you he's throwing to the worst set of WR's in football. did Chad Williams even see a ball?

Did Bradford even look down the field more than a couple of times? It was a bizarre display of QB'ing. He did not look like a guy who's played the game much before.

I was worried about Buck and this new defense. At his size for a LB he needs to be kept clean. This isn't the defense for him. Not where he has to take on O linemen. He will get swallowed up ever time. Betchers D was the perfect one for him. Maybe we can trade him and send him to Betcher.
Don't know what Bradfords problem was. Other than he didn't want to get hit. Lot of open guys and he didn't scan the field.
Niche is a bust. See no improvement in this guy what so ever. He needs to go after this year. Another wasted 1st round pick. Can't keep missing on 1st rounder and hope to be good.
It certainly looks like a rebuilding year. Need a lot of pieces to be good again. Start with the WR. Then you have the D line and LB's. Could also use a good TE. One who can block.

1) Bradford's arm strength was lacking -- is something wrong as he didn't look to throw the ball downfield and when he did the ball wasn't thrown with authority. The ball coming out of his hand looked like when CP's arm was tired (enough for BA to sit him out of Wed practices) - BTW: Matt Ryan's looked similarly in his game so maybe these coaches need to learn what is the optimum amount of throws to build arm strength heading into a season.
2) Reddick's lack of progress is killing the D as the LB group is one of the weakest in the league. 3) NO Gap discipline -- wasn't the Cards claim to fame on their defense in previous years was to hold RB's under 100 yds ?
4) Well if the offense shows no spark next week then Rosen maybe the starter when the Cards get back home against either the Bears or 49ers as Michael B can't allow apathy to reach the fan base before September ends. 5) Maybe the "whip" needs to come out from the coaches -- as the team looked apathetic in getting their butts kicked. Stated on 98.7 this morning that really not much yelling from veteran players occurred so it appears they all just sat there and took their whoopin...
6) Coordinators were out-matched in their preparation and schemes run during the game.
Well the members of the roster who were 2017 Cards remembered getting kicked by the Rams last year .. let's see how they react.

This offense looked exactly like the Rams did with Bradford. And I mean exactly.
There's absolutely no chance I'd play Rosen against the Rams but I disagree with the notion that he would check down as much as Bradford. Rosen at least showed the ability to look around in preseason.

as yall know by know im very opinionated but this was exactly what I predicted Bradford would be-hes a poser...and I was hoping that he would be fantastic and I would get bashed...but I honestly thought defense would be ok.
how much worse can it get next week against rams front 7...if sam looks bad against rams and bears then its time for rosen-sure he will take his lumps but I don't see any benefit in glennon playing.
receivers-jeez...time to bring in jerry rice-he says he can still play-just joking.
kirks punt return was a positive-I liked how he hesitated a bit waiting for blocks to set up

It's really bad when punting is a game highlight.

I agree completely. I drank a bottle of Pepto-Bismal and re watched the 1st half today. I watched just about every significant play 4-5 times. It wasn't as bad as I remember it. Here's some different takeaways I had from the 1st time. I'm not the type to say this because I try to focus on what we can change to get better, but dang Washington looked good on O. Great Oline blocking, excellent seals and push, and nice reads on holes by RBs. Worst of all, was Alex Smith. He picked us apart. Near perfect footwork, incredible ball placement, and then he absolutely killed us with his legs. Again, I hate to say this, but some times the other team is just better. In the 2nd quarter they were near perfect (21 points in the 2nd and 12:23 out of 15 on ToP). Chandler Jones, Deone Bucannon, and Budda Baker looked exactly like one would expect players to look like switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3. They looked lost at times. I was really disappointed in Jones' play. He's at least spent time playing 4-3. DBuc is playing COMPLETELY out of position. He can't disengage blocks and can't cover = benched. Budda's still learning but was late on a couple reads. You already brought up Reddick who's completely out of it. Diche isn't nearly the bust everyone is touting. Feel free to watch what he does to the LG on the Chris Thompson TD. He absolutely destroys the dude pushing him all the way into Smith's grill (albeit too late). Yes, he got flattened on the AP TD, but had made some very good plays prior to. He's not a star, but he's not a bust. However, he is far too HOT/COLD for my liking. Two official calls were poor and benefited the Skins greatly. The worst was the non hold/block in the back on Bethea on the 3rd and 1 that AP picked up. It was obvious and totally effected the play. Also, Chandler Jones wasn't rewarded a holding call that really hurt us. Officials weren't the reason we lost, but they didn't help. Our game plan against Thompson was beyond dumb. I'm betting that if Belichick ever plays them, Chris disappears from the game. I was shocked to see him come out of the back field uncovered at times. And then other times we'd have someone on him that couldn't possibly cover him. Truly baffling. My last comment on our D; lots of small errors against a good team by various Cards killed us. Ie, On one play Garrison Smith foolishly lowers his head on a block and lost his balance. Making matters worse he couldn't see the RB go right by him and they gained like 6 yards. It was one play, but there were a ton of those "one plays" the entire half. Just poor play across the board. We aren't good enough to recover from stuff like that. Guys, I'm not sure why this keeps being brought up, but the WR corps is far down the list of concerns. If we had Fitz, Julio Jones, and Antonio Brown on this team it wouldn't make much difference (okay, maybe a little). Bradford was awful yesterday. He missed wide open guys, overthrew badly, checked down constantly (4.5/att), and missed seeing Fitz open. He owns the lion's share of blame on O. Sure, maybe McCoy is part of the problem. But if I remember correctly, McCoy designed this O to match Bradford's skill set. Bradford was given every opportunity yesterday to succeed and failed miserably. If I'm McCoy I'm hitting 120 dBs in Bradford's ear. The Oline looked really good. So did our RBs. If our D ever figures out how to play we could really do some damage on the ground. As it stands now, no chance.

I think CJ played with max effort and was just stifled by an all pro, one of the best LT's in the game. STill he put some pressure on Alex. I thought he played OKAY. In no way should Diche be given any pass. But in his first game in a 4-3 he had some WOW moments along with some WHAT THE...? Hey, at least he's showing up in the stat box with his 4 QB pressures, 3 Tackles and 1 Sack. We haven't really been able to say that since he's been here. Good point on Bradford. He certainly looked uncomfortable, which is alarming since there wasn't much pressure (6 QB Hits for 34 passes). I'm at the point where if he plays this terrible next week, get Rosen in. Wilks is a believer in run first and has built a line to execute it. Rosen should be able to grow behind this line without running for his life. CJ did have Trent on him many times, but it wasn't only then that I saw issues. I saw him whiff on the other side too. His run tackling was problematic at times. I'll give him this, he did look like he was trying to play within the scheme, but had moments of hesitation. That kind of tells me that it'll be fixed soon. He's too good to let it linger. One of my favorites players on the team is DBuc. He's a great role model and a SOLID player. However, BA screwed him up. How many different positions has he played since he got here? 4? 5? Get the man into his natural playing position at his natural weight. The good news is that he's in a contract year, so we should be able to resign him cheaper. There's almost no way he has a solid year playing LB. (Though I wish it were true). One thing is for sure, there are massive signs of growing pains in this new D scheme. I still believe it can be fixed this year. Just needs smart coaching and time.
