Yes yes I know, way too premature.
I am obsessed with Harry being our pick. I think where we will be picking (mid teens to low 20’s) is a sweet spot for Harry. Unless he rises too high.
Picturing Harry, Kirk and Rosen for years to come is so appealing.
Harry is the perfect replacement for Fitz. Great hands, great catch radius, big, can run and YAC are awesome. To add he is a local kid and a great kid.
I want Harry as much as I wanted Suggs. Cards dropped the ball on that big time so hopefully not again.

Good idea? Yes. We sure blew it on Suggs... but the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Kid to keep an eye on is Hall from the Zoo. Kid is 6'3 and fast. All he did in the first game was 4 catches for 171 yards and two scores. I can see him going anywhere from the late 1st round to early 3rd round. Last year he had over 30 catches for over 800 yards and 7 scores.

I understand that concept but this was not a hindsight situation. Suggs was the choice all day long

Mocks are going to have Harry going in 2nd or early 3rd so as long as we draft one of the many stud DL available in Round #1 ... I am good with that.

I want to see him dominate games and teams this season, I also want to see him get more separation on his routes and show short and long speed. But Harry is an exciting prospect.
If we are picking where I think we will (and that's top 10), I'm hoping for more of an Ed Oliver or Nick Bosa.

I understand that concept but this was not a hindsight situation. Suggs was the choice all day long I meant there is that tendency to discount local players in favor of others at big football "power" schools. Should have stated that, not an old saw...

Nah, this is looking to be a legendary DL class. Dont overthink it. Take a dominant D lineman

I know our WR room looks pretty bare. We just drafted one in the 2nd round. Wiillams might be turning into something. Guess we find out as the season progresses. With the first pick you should always take who ever is highest on your board. Doesn't matter the position. and with this team other than RB you basically can't miss. This team can use an up grade at just about every position. That even includes positions that are supposedly our strength.

I believe the cards should take the best player available at several different positions, which would probably include the WR position.. the team drafted a bunch of offensive players in the last 2-3 drafts. It’s probably going to be a defensive player..IMHO

If we are top 5 pick then a DL beast is better. Just professing my man crush and if we ended up with Harry in the mid teens or early 20’s I would be stoked is all. I am aware there may be better choices.

That Hall kid went off for 10 catches and another 171 yards and a TD. So through 2 games he has 14 catches for 342 yards and 3 scores. That's 24.4 yards per catch, and they all haven't been bombs. Course it's also nice when you have Lock to throw to you.

I have heard 1st round grade in every discussion about him. Not sure about the 2nd/3rd round mocks. He is literally bigger then Anquan Boldin with the catch radius speed of Fitz. He is a man among boys and catches everything. We would be lucky to get him in the mid first round. I think he goes too 15 myself. Plus I have never heard of any off field stuff, so that’s always good.

He is a great kid and from here. Fans would eat him up. They mentioned on the telecast last night that he is top 5, but I do not think that will be the case. I still think mid teens is the sweet spot. It is early so we will see, but I’d bet my house he isn’t anywhere near the 3rd round.

Manny Wilkins on the other hand I hope we don't come anywhere near him. He overthrows his receivers time after time again. Of course a QB is not a need for us so don't see that anyways.
