Maybe some insight but Mike Jureki posted on twitter about BW being kept because of his special teams play. It was still fresh and I'm still sore about some of cuts so I said I think it is more to do with Keim not wanting to cut a 3rd round pick. MJ sent me a direct message basically telling me it was a load of BS and he is on the roster as he is one of the top 3 special teams players on this roster. Make of that what you will. But it will be interesting come then end of his deal if he gets kept around the place, being just a special teams stud did nothing for Justin Bethel and I assume it will be similar for BW.

Justin Bethel made the Pro Bowl as a special teamer. Would love it if BW turned into that kind of player.

I was thinking of asking Urban thru facebook about decision making and Who is the real decision maker when it comes to cuts.....perhaps since you use twitter you can ask him??? Would love to put to rest some of this 2nd guessing.

Good stuff. I believe Jurecki over a Cardinal hack like Urban. You get nothing but whitewashing from Urban. He's as vanilla as they come.

Can one of you stat gurus please find Brandon WIlliams special teams stats. Have any of you noticed him do ANYTHING on special teams? I feel like I am crazy juice here. Hope Brandon WIlliams can turn into Bethel? How many years does it take to have an impact on special teams lol.
I would be willing to guarantee Williams is not top 3 in tackles on special teams at the end of the year.
Trust me, I have watched for him on ST because I thought that would be his minimal impact when we picked him. I thought he would help special teams and he has not at all.

Interesting . And all these years VW was telling us we're fools for believing Keim at least had input. Now we know why BW is still on the roster. And if BW is so great on ST's why don't we notice him like we did Bethal?

I see the 1st part of that response differently than you do. But your question left it in the "vague" area because it was not specific enough. Example: I would say," Hey Mike when it come to the cutting down to 53 who has the final say? Wilks or SK. And Mike I know they confer with each other. But who has the last say on who makes the roster." But because your question was a blanket question then Mike could give simple blanket answers that give No real Details. Understand? Of course I know SK and Wilks talk about the players but who actually made the Cuts? I will still stick with Wilks, with the caveat that they do talk and SK does have input, but not the final say. Now the 2nd part of Jureki's answer is that SK finds the players. That's part of his Job as GM to find the payers wilks needs. Always has been. Always will be as long as he is the GM, same as any other NFL team Hierarchy. The 3rd Part is that Wilks fields the Team as is expected from any HC. So does this help you understand the clarity I seek and the clarity of position I've seen since SK became GM for the Cards. But perhaps it's just easier to blame the man that got arrested. less thinking involved and easier to point a finger at. I mean he went to jail didn't he?! So lets all Zaz him every chance we get whether any facts are involved or not. There will be no apology for your "buddy" coming from me over this vagary. EDIT: This is from Today's main article were HC Wilks states this: This supports my take on whom is in charge of what.

Penny had 11 ST tackles last year. Good for around 21st in the league. BW had a whopping 2 ! So don't give me that better ST BS. There is something else going on.
Penny is not a classic FB. He is a RB who can also play FB. And he is good at doing both.
