If Preseason is any kind of indicator then the ST should be better this year, imho.

Lost a lot of respect for Wilks with the McCrane release. He said the best 53 would make the team. McCrane was better than Dawson. Plus he has a future where Dawson is 43 and just about at the end of his career. This cut doesn't make any sense to me what so ever. McCrane was the better kicker and has a much stronger leg. He is also very accurate. Plus a lot cheaper and he could be around for years to come. Not like Dawsom who is just about through. Dawson missed one 55 yard attempt. McCrane has never had to face a pressure kick. A few years back we went with a rookie snapper who did everything right in camp and preseason and then chocked on the big stage. Wilks loses no respect from me for making the OBVIOUS choice. I thought Dawson's miss was mid 40s so that makes me feel better. The experience factor is the only reason for keeping Dawson, so hopefully he doesn't disappoint. I'd expect the victories that come from this team to be in the 17-14 variety with no margin for error. No Amos = no excuses. |

If Preseason is any kind of indicator then the ST should be better this year, imho. Unfortunately multiplying by zero results in zero. So if this year's kicking game is 5x better then we take Amos' squad ranking of zero, multiply by five, and get zero.
I'm being too literal. Yes, I'm certain it will be much, much better.

No more excuses for Dawson. I'll lose it if Dawson misses some easies early and Hic Hic hits the radio show to tell us all is well with Dawson and to have patience grasshopper. I have precisely zero patience for that nonsense. |
