Hey everyone, I saw the thread about the old forum closing and I had to join this new one and hopefully the community remains just as strong. I'm usually more of a lurker, but I posted a few threads since I joined. I thought we could use this thread to introduce yourself and say a few short words about when you originally joined the old forum. I'm an AZ resident and always have been. I remember becoming a member of the original forum during the 2010 disastrous season. My old name on the forum was "longimanus," but I decided to change my username for this forum to an ironic name of the original quest for a QB with 'moxie.' Obviously, I have high hopes for Rosen and even Bradford this season. Many are comparing this season to BA's first one here, but I fear Bradford/Rosen might be more similar to a repeat of Anderson/Leinart than a Palmer one.
Thanks to whoever created this new forum!
While nobody knows at this point what the coming seasons may bring, I think the general feeling is that at the very least it is a fresh start and chances of getting better as time passes are encouraging. With a new head coach and his staff, perhaps some of our former shortcomings will have vanished. In particular having coaches who have shown they can teach and improve players is itself reassuring.
We know the new head coach has a background of defense and should be strong in that area, but we do not know what to expect on offense, other than he has chosen an OC who adapts to his players' talents. Those are two positives IMO, and at least part of the reason for the feeling of general optimism being expressed on this forum. There will be tweaks and hiccups at first, but sooner or later things should start to jell and the team perform well, win or lose. I don't think there will be obvious uncorrected flaws as happened with special teams in the recent past, and that alone helps promote optimism.
Using what happened with Anderson/Leinart under a different staff might not translate well in today's circumstances. In other words, that was then, this is now, with different people involved. We can only watch, wait and hope - part of that hope being learning from the missteps of history.
As for moxie, we'll see who has it and who doesn't, who is effective and who is not. These things sort themselves out and the team goes on. Meantime, welcome back and to the new forum, longimanus/maxhallera! It is a good place to air opinions and state grievances, and you are among old and new friends.
Welcome to the new forum.

I had the same username on the other board. But I was a nobody that had signed up using my old AOL email address. I forgot my password about a year and a half ago and when I tried to retrieve it, I found that AOL had deleted my email account. So I haven't posted on the other board in quite a while (not that I had much to contribute anyway). I'm not that knowledgeable (but I've been a die-hard Cards fan since they arrived in Tempe), but I'll try to contribute. I like the fresh start with a new board. I no longer feel like I'm some newbie stranger that is walking into an established members only bar.... so that when I walk in the door, the record player scratches, everything goes silent, and everybody stops what they're doing to stare at me. Not that that happened on the other forum, but you know what I mean.

Not that that happened on the other forum, but you know what I mean. Great story and visuals. Reminds me of the Terminator walking into that LA bar, the Corral. He walked into a 1%er's members only bar, got stared at by everyone, asked for help with a wardrobe malfunction, and ended up riding away with the biggest, baddest dude's motorcycle. Acted like he owned the place. Know what I mean? Be "BAD TO THE BONE, pajaro cerebro. Yep, BTHB!

Yep, not an unusual feeling with the old board.
NOT HERE. We all have a seat at the table, and space to add as many as desired.
Like the banner says, For the fans, by the fans. ALL fans.

GREAT! Personalities make the day interesting!
Welcome to the future and the new/old gang of fans.
Anyone know if Ditship is still around? Nothing from him for ages on either board.

I'm here from the old forum. Mostly lurking but occasionally post something that most of the time just gets ignored... I guess it's the same as my Facebook account. Oh well. Hi everybody, I'm Spoon.
Lived in PHX all my life. Been a Cards fan since '88 when I was 5 years old. Family has had season tix pretty much since then and will for the foreseeable future (section 420, What's Up!).
Looking forward to next (every year pretty much).

My family has had season tix since 89 and I went to every game in 88. Even rode my bike from my parents house as I wasnt old enough to drive and went to some games alone.
