It will be no big shock to anyone who watched last night's preseason game that Jeremy Cash's injury is season ending. It's a bummer since he had a good game and he is person. The Cardinals acted fast and signed FA LB Gerald Hodges, a 5 year vet that has appeared in 65 games (26 starts) with the Vikings, 49ers and Saints. 159 career tackles with three interceptions and 3½ sacks. arizonasports.com/story/1625556/report-jeremy-cash-season-ending-injury-cardinals-gerald-hodgesEven without the injury to Cash, the Cards needed additional depth at LB - but not as much as they do at OL. Let's hope a next acquisition will address that dumpster fire.

well he's on ir now so maybe they can get him rehabbed and back in shape to start practicing for camp next year. kid was looking good up to the injury. he earned a chance next year to get his job back.

I watched former 4th rounder Hodges play w/ SF. No wow factor there but he mostly gets the job done and for a decent FA price.
Given the Cards LB needs, Hodges should see lots of action in 2018. Hodges will work on D for now. Not the brightest bulb though.
Keim may have to elevate the LB priority at the 2019 draft.

Reddick still has potential. Depth can be found in free agency. The top priorities will be the offensive line, and a WR. We have Rosen, now we need to surround him with support.

Just because the entire 2nd string O line doesn't look great as a unit doesn't mean there's no good depth players there. Wetzel and Holden have shown they can play in relief, and all those guys will develop some during this season (the ones we keep). Also there's an entire season ahead for a #2 WR to pop. We won't know priorities until later.

It’s not about a number 2, it’s about having a 1 as Larry isn’t playing forever.

Some clarification about Cash's waived/injured status. This applies to all non vested vets trying to make a 53 man roster.

Remember. There will be a lot of good players cut just before the season starts. Both vets and new players. Some team stacked at LB will have to let someone go that would make the Cards roster. With the guys the Cards are picking up now doesn't mean they are the ones who will make the final 53.

thanks joe.. I liked that kid and wanna keep him. I think the nfl should skip that for in game known to be real injuries. I doubt anyone thinks the cards or cash were faking that one. its not like dj's "injury" for his holdout. if it requires reconstructive surgery and they are out for the year just to rehab and heal they should go straight to ir.
