I am concerned with Golden and how he is coming along. He tore his ACL in Oct. I doubt they waited too long to have surgery. I was much older than Golden, not a pro athlete, no access to todays technology or the care that he gets and I had surgery in Dec and was back playing basketball by Aug.
He needs to be explosive off that edge, doesn’t seem like he is anywhere coming back and thats not good. Deshaun Watson tore his ACL a month later than Golden and he is back playing. One could argue his mobility is just as important if not more so than Goldens.
I just hope there has not been a set back or anything as this doesnt look too promising at the moment.

Still on the PUP list heading into the preseason schedule. Probably not a good sign. Hopefully the organization is just exercising caution with his return.

He is at the facility everyday and under the Medical staff's guidance. In an early TC article the projected return for Golden was for the 1st week of the regular season. IF both/either one are still on PUP by 1st game of the Regular season, then the Team has 6 weeks to get them on the field or place them on IR. |

( I know your were actually being sarcastic......right?! ) I think he might. There is speculation that the Raiders don't have the reserves to actually sign him. Between Darnold and Mack, I think Darnold is the better player and to me is worth more. What's good for the Rams and bad for the Raiders is the franchise tag values Mack over Darnold by about 3 million per. The Raiders apparently haven't even made an offer and aren't negotiating. I could see Mack getting traded. The Rams are looking to win now and Darnold has less leverage based on the franchise tag in terms of dollars. This is a nice little sideshow. I don't think the Raiders have the money to get a deal without restructuring the teams financing. The Rams have cap issues but they have the money to make it work. |
