Cardinals And NFL Football is back, Birdgang! . Our Arizona Cardinals begin their 2018 NFL Season, as they host the Chargers in their first of four scheduled preseason games in their 2018 NFL season. Chargers are both appear in their first visit to Glendale in three years, and also tonight as the Los Angeles Chargers.
Another era begins as the Cardinals is led with Steve Wilks as their new Head Coach, along with a new coaching staff, and a turnover of signed veterans ad drafted players including Sam Bradford, Josh Rosen, and Christian Kirk.
Cardinals signed and fielded players to staff their current 90-man training camp and preseason roster, and many of the reserve and backup players will receive their share of playing time on the field beginning tonight, as they make the cut to the final 53-man regular season roster.
Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Chargers meet in their 24th all-time preseason meeting with the Chargers leading the all-time series entering tonight with their 14-9 record. Chargers defeated the Cardinals by the score of 19-3, in both teams last preseason meeting played at Qualcomm Stadium back on August 19, 2016. That game was played in a joint practice between the teams the week prior, and when the Head Coach Bruce Arians was hospitalized while the Cardinals were in San Diego.
Josh Lambo kicked the game-winning, 47-yard field goal with 2:51 remaining in the fourth quarter, to help the then San Diego Chargers win 22-19, in their last meeting in Arizona, back on August 15, 2015.
Dave Pasch and Ron Wolfley are announcing the live TV game commentary and analysis, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Craig Grailou, on all four Cardinals televised preseason games, simulcast locally on KPNX NBC Channel 4, internationally on the NFL Network, and regionally on KTTU My Network Channel 18 in Tucson, and KSNV NBC Channel 3 in Las Vegas, NV, all stations seen live on HD.
Paul Calvisi and Bertrand Berry are also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, along with radio sideline reporter and interviewe, Cardinals Team Media Reporter Darren Urban, on all four Cardinals preseason games on the radio, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Craig Grailou, lead by flagship station KMVP Arizona Sports 98.7FM, and The Arizona Cardinals Radio Network.
A cool 72 degrees inside, offsetting the 98 degree humidity outside the stadium area,, should keep everyone inside cool, for the 7:05PM Mountain and Pacific Time kickoff.
