31 years ago. On January 15, 1988, Bill Bidwill, the owner of the St. Louis Cardinals football team, announces his plans to move the team to Phoenix from St. Louis. He said he decided to seek the move for "competitive reasons." One of the last plays at old Busch Stadium. Neil Lomax tosses the ball to no one on a messed up RB sweep play. The Cards won the last game at Busch. 27-24 over the Gints.

OK....I'm going from memory here, but isn't he the guy that took over from Charley Johnson when he got injured. As I remember it, the Cards were off to a great start, then came the injury. Terry took over but he just didn't have it and the season was lost. By the way. That's a good picture of Charley Winner......and while looking for the correct spelling of his name, I just found out something about him that I did not know. "during World War II, he flew 17 missions in a B-17 Flying Fortress plane, spending six weeks in a German prisoner of war camp." Taken from this webpageHe was a great coach and a hero as well.....

Charlie Winner is 96 years old. He was born July 2, 1924 I would love to sit down and talk with him. Terry Nofsinger died at the age of 69 October 2, 2007 in his home state of Utah. www.legacy.com/obituaries/saltlaketribune/obituary.aspx?n=w-terry-nofsinger&pid=95586922
