Kyler Murray is clearly the real deal. He makes throws we haven’t seen around here. He will only get better. But for the life of me I couldn’t understand why they didn’t design a run for him at some point. In the fourth quarter I was sure that he would have taken off in the last series where they were pinned back. It’s a weapon that needs to be utilized. Not to the degree the Ravens did with Jackson , he’ll end up with a short career. BTW he's the only QB besides Cam Newton to start his career with two 300 yard games. David Johnson. Is it now apparent this guy just took the money and took a dump. 14 yards on 7 carries. Whiffed on some blocks. For a year now I’ve heard how the offense is supposed to help DJ become the star that he’s supposed to be. How about the concept of the star running back make the offense better?
After yesterday’s game are you going to tell me Justin Murray is better then Korey Cunningham? I have my doubts. Overall though in a tough environment I thought the line held up well. We have a ton of motion. KM tries to change the cadence and moves around a lot. Still only a couple of false starts.
Larry with back to back 100 yard games . Not since 2015 has he done that. Christian Kirk with 100 yards. Add in Byrd and Johnson and I like our crew. But where is Andy Isabella?
I was disappointed in the calls in the red zone but lets keep in mind were in game two here. I honestly don’t know how to evaluate Kingsbury yet. When you tell me you cant win in the NFL putting up fantasy passing yards I'll just point to KC as an example of what we could look like. It's early and KK is an upgrade over Wilks by a country mile.
I want to see more of Chase Edmonds. We need to run the ball more! Where's the zone read?
I was disappointed in Terrell Suggs. That’s no way to celebrate your return to Baltimore.
Overall the defense was okay. On the road against a potent offense. Sure I would have liked more stops but they bent and didn’t break.
Byron Murphy gives me confidence moving forward. The kid stepped into the position with the training he had in Washington where they teach a pro style defense. We got Buddha Baker from there too. He had 11 tackles and was all over the place. Note to Keim: these big schools produce good players.
Fair question: Would Patrick Peterson made a difference in any of these games?
The thing I like about our special teams is I don’t really have to write about how bad they are. Zane has hit about 90 percent of his field goals without Amos Jones. I have no doubt that's a real stat.

Agree with pretty much everything here.
I was surprised by the overall negativity during the game day thread. I have high expectations for Kyler Murray as our QBOF, FINALLY!, and through two games I know we’ve found a very good one. Possibly great. That has me pretty excited.
KK is young and doesn’t even pretend to act like he knows it all. He has made mistakes as any 30-something rookie head coach would in his first two games. So far the Cardinals exceeded my expectations in their first two straight games, and a lot of that has to do with the roster KK rebuilt from last year’s and his play-calling. He will improve and improve over the next two seasons, just like Murray, and that’s what we need. Then we win.
Felt bad for Suggs, he was clearly disappointed in himself. But Jackson is a tough kid to get your mitts on. Murray is too, and I agree we should not be so scared to prove he’s not a run-first QB as to never let him run first on an occasional designed play. He has that tool, don’t just leave it in the box. As for Suggs, I really don’t care, other than it being fun to have him for a season. Go Devils, but he’s not our future.
Our future is Kyler Murray. Then CB Murphy, S Buddha Baker, ILB’s Hicks and Reddick, OLB Chandler Jones and maybe Zach on defense. Kirk, Johnson, and maybe Byrd and Isabella and Butler on offense. I’d love to try and add Minkah Fitzpatrick to that defense, as a 3-4 needs a guy like him to stop the slot WRs and TEs and spot the mobile. He would be another young, cheap piece for a few more years, and might be available for a second rounder. Then use our picks and cap space (with almost no dead cap starting next year) to first build the Oline and Dline and then fill in the gaps on the roster. We could be very good 2021-2023.

Hopefully KK will get the red zone issues figured out soon. I believe he has to feed either DJ or Edmunds the ball more early in the game. If the Cards have even the smallest amount of success running the ball between the 20's, red zone play calling will open up with opposing D's giving KK and Kyler better match ups. JMO. Alot to look forward to this season as far as watching the development of our young players.

Aris,
That was a very fair evaluation of this past game. I was ticked off the day of the Korey Cunningham trade. You have to keep these linemen together not change them out every week or two.
Kyler Murray isn't a surprise. He is that good. Imagine if Kyler had 3 things, two more off. lineman (good ones) and a crackerjack tight end.
We failed to contain Jackson He will have a short career if he keeps up running into the tackle unlike Kyler whi slides, tip toes out of bounds and avoids the big hit. I dont know how many times I yelled SPY before the play even took off. You could see it coming.
Byron Murphy as you stated and I mentioned before played in a pro style defense at Washington. He is just going to continue to get better. I liked him before we drafed him.
The Special teams When is the last time we had both a punter and a kicker who we did not want to curse at.
Byrd is not like Kerwyn Williams who ran to the 10 yard line and fell into the wedge or opposing gunner I saw that so many times I lost count.
Week 3 We are back home and I plan on flying out for the game.
