Let's say you you have plans to attend just one home game this year, let's also say division games are out because of your Mom's schedule (of course you are taking your mother!). What's the game to go with, Redskins, Bears or Lions?
Last year I picked the Jaguars, that was the right choice. The year before, I went to the Jets and Buccs... awful choices, even though we won both games they were complete blowouts. Forget what he did to an Uber driver after the game, Jameis Winston should have been suspended on the spot for his incompetence during the game.
Things I'm considering: I want to win, but more importantly I want it to be a good game.
Bradford or Rosen, who will be playing? Who would you rather see?
What are the stakes? Later games have the opportunity to be more meaningful. I'd bet that both Cardinals and Lions will be in playoff contention come week 13, but then again...
First games (Redskins) are always weird with all the unknowns but I bet the stadium energy is exciting, and with week 1 at least you can bank on seeing David Johnson.
By week 3 things will be shaping up at least a little, but would you really blow your hard earned cash on Mitch Trubisky?
What do you think, is this an easy choice? All I know is that the success of my Mom's 70th birthday gift is depending on it.

Personally (my mom) would go for Matt Stafford.........but thats my mom I'm going to have to make apologies to my Mom about a lack of Cam Newton in any game I choose... but even if we did play the Panthers at home, I can't risk her accidentally cheering if he rushes for a TD!

I always pick the best chance to win. First I want to see a win and normally that means a bad team plus I get cheap tickets for great sets to boot that way.

I always pick the best chance to win. First I want to see a win and normally that means a bad team plus I get chip tickets for great sets to boot that way. That's not far from my thinking, except after slogging through 40-7 (Buccs), and 28-3 (Jets), I'd rather go for a 50-50 (40-60?) chance and hope for the best. Looking at the schedule, I don't even see a team that I would expect Cardinals to completely trounce... Denver, Maybe? They've done it to Case Keenum before. Seahawks? That would be great and actually, I could totally see it happening (insert "sad seahawk" emoji). Best case scenario: Pick the toughest match-up in the schedule and the Cardinals win by 6, with a touchdown ....by Nkemdiche! That would be really cool, but back to the task at hand: Redskins, Bears, Lions. Aren't they all kind of 50-50 games? I don't know what the Vegas odds are (they probably predict the Cardinals to lose by 7 in each), but I'd guess that out of three, Detroit in week 13 is the toughest match-up (are the Bears really that different than last year?). Anything can happen in week 1, still I believe we are going to win. As for actual chances? At this point, maybe flip a coin... which puts me right at my comfort zone when buying a ticket based on strength of opponent.

All three games look like they could be good. I would definitely 'waste my cash' watching Trubisky. He is class. Their RBs will cause the Cards D major headaches. It could be quite an attritional game. So if your mum likes the old school football, maybe the Bears game is the one. Detroit and Washington will both involve more passing plays (IMO), so if you mum likes big flash catches and chunks of yards, then maybe choose one of those.

Their RBs will cause the Cards D major headaches. I suspect Allen Robinson might put on a show too, this season - so Cards D might be in for a full-on migraine.

Then the next step for me would be is there a Dbacks game or a Coyote game on the same weekend. Maybe Suns for you I don't do basketball. I love West-Gate!! You got the Cards game, game X or Y, a movie, and a night out. It's all a good time and it's all right there the best 3 day trip IMHO a person can ask for.................
This is to easy it's the Bears game. We should win and that game is on 9-23. The Coyotes play at home on 9-22. The Dbacks play at home 9-17 to 9-26. Holly hell that's when I'm going thanks I needed to look all that up anyway.

Does your mom enjoy the Arizona heat? There is a big difference in going to an early game and a December game. I'm a season ticket holder and her age, I don't mind the long walk in the September heat but it is not for everyone.

Skins would be the best game. Get to go see the Cards dismantle good old Alex Smith once again. Also get to see Chandler take on LT Trent Williams. Thats a good game.

I pulled the trigger on the Redskins game.
It was a tough call between Bears and the Skins, both could be great games. Good match-ups in each, but I'm sure I can ride this "beat up on Alex Smith" thing for some added excitement. The Lions game had the biggest potential payoff (playoff contention? Rosen's third game and he's on fire? DJ's breaking records? Still, no one in the national media expects us to win?!) but I don't have the patience or the confidence required to choose week 13 over the season opener (just a month and a few days away!). Maybe I'll wind up going to the Lion's game too, but if everything is clicking like I hope, I know tickets won't be as affordable as they are now. Actually, the only thing going against the Redskins in my decision was the contrast of the uniforms on the field - Mom would have an easier time differentiating between Red+Blue vs. Red+Red. Sorry Mom, you'll just have to cope.
