This is a personal story of the owner and his friendship with a SCOTUS pick. it's a story of a former class mate and a letter 4 of them wrote in support of WHAT KIND OF MAN he is. It's kinda touching really no matter what you're political affiliation. It's a human interest story with as much political overtones as you may wish to attach to it. Here's the main theme from the story: “The purpose of the letter is to talk about Brett as a person,” Bidwill, out of the country on vacation, said in a phone interview. “ to compare it to guys kneeling to protest the flag is a real reach. I just don't see it the same way or even remotely in the ball park. But to each his own. This is a fascinating demonstration of individual human psyche. You view players protesting police brutality as trash. But are emotionally touched by the guy who wants to take away womens rights. As you said, to each their own. And your post once again is a fascinating demonstration of hyperbole ZaZ style. Go ahead and tell me where I said players protesting police brutality is "trash". Go ahead and I will wait. And I'm "emotionally touched" by a guy who wants to take away "womens rights". Okay Bernie Sanders. Have you had enough ranting BULLCRAP? I hadnt a clue what Bidwill's political views were (I was indeed assuming he was Repbulican). I've never heard him talk politics in the sports spectrum at all. Maybe I missed it. His buddy got appointed to the highest court in the land. Totally worthy of a very proud moment simply from two guys who go way back and have achieved a lot between them.

You didnt say players protesting police brutality. You instead said "players protesting the flag". Thats what you think they are doing? Jeez, no wonder Trump won. And Mikes prioritizing of his buddy moreso than his buddys POS beliefs is even more egregious yet. He took away gay rights. He took away womens rights. But we went to High School together! Cool. Question - Why did you put "womens rights" in quotes as if thats a make believe thing?

I watched a Bill Burr clip on youtube that just nails what happened. To summarize what he said was Trump won because Hillary blew it. She picked the wrong team and let a guy that every week would say 3 things that would torpedo anyone else's campaign and she couldn't figure out how to beat him. He used the analogy of her playing in a football game where the other team throws 20 interceptions and yet she still managed to fumble away the game. The clip is hilarious and nails what happened.

Zaz is my new favorite poster. MB supporting this guy is definitely a tough pill for me to swallow, and I wish I never had to find out about it. But I love the Cards dearly so I’ll put it out of mind. And at the end of the day, MB is a rich guy, and the current administration is basically doing nothing but catering to rich guys, so it’s not like it’s a big surprise

Huh, this is rare. Politics and Cardinals have a direct head-on. Bit of late night drama going on. In summary: Mikey used the official Cards twitter to endorse Trumps SCOTUS pick. People are mad saying its hypocrisy. Players arent allowed to demonstrate politics but Mike can do this. Also this was posted on the Cards website: www.azcardinals.com/news/michael-bidwill-backs-classmate-for-supreme-courtI took a minute to think about this one and I think its valid anger. Although Mike owns the team, he shouldnt treat it like his own personal platform. Left and Right agree on one thing: try to keep politics out of football. So for Mike to use the Official Cards twitter handle to spout his politics is a bad look. Use your personal twitter. Or start a blog. Keep it off the Cards media. Jeez what a crappy week for Cards leadership. Only in the eyes of someone who is upset that another constitutional Judge is gonna be sitting on the supreme Court.

Of course they were protesting the police by using the kneeling to the flag. But I've never said anything one way or the other about it despite your typical B.S. I put "women's rights" in quotes simply because it was your words. You're the type of guy that simply cannot acknowledge or differentiate the meaning a post might have to different people. A story about two guys who went to high school and are now celebrating a momentous achievement turns into a none political rant about women's rights, gay rights. Just leave it alone. Take a deep breath. Allow someone like Bidwill with different political views then yourself to have a proud moment with a friend.

Yet I wasn't allowed to talk politics on the Cardinals message board.
Ah,good ole hypocrisy.
If you like the guy, make the tweet from your own personal account instead of making it sound like everyone in the Cardinals organization supports the nomination. Simple as that.
Disagree with the nomination completely, but Bidwill can support who he wants.

Yet I wasn't allowed to talk politics on the Cardinals message board. Ah,good ole hypocrisy. That was the plan at the old board and here as well but I guess there is no stopping it unless we intend to ban or delete posts. I guess it's time for a round table with the mods.

there is no problem at all with mb announcing his support for his friend. should he have done so on the cards website-not imho BUT the players insist they have the right to protest as they choose and the media seems to agree with them so why shouldn't mb have the right to say whatever he wants? just as we here are allowed to express our opinions and we disagree often-so what? we should be able to have a calm discussion with someone who disagrees with your opinion. I personally don't care who the supreme court justices are-its not going to affect my life at all. what I don't like are people who insist they have freedom of speech but tell you that you cant express your opinion because you don't agree with them.

On his own time. Cardinals are the workplace. You and I dont spout our politics at work/ Nor should he. I dont understand why you see a difference. CEO or not, keep politics away from work. Thats a fair request for everybody.

Question - Why did you put "womens rights" in quotes as if thats a make believe thing? It was interesting watching the same President who said players should be fired for kneeling during the anthem groveling for Putin's approval during a world wide televised news conference. The Green Bay Packers who are a public company also reported increased earnings last year over the previous year. The entire premise that the NFL was losing money over the player protests was a complete lie by the owners. It had no bearing at all on the owners income which continues to increase ever single year. This isn't a political opinion, just a fact based observation.
