In a time when we are excited about yet another new QB to lead our beloved Cardinals, it good to acknowledge the best QB the Big Red has seen (IMO). Happy Birthday Jim Hart.

The first Cards QB I ever watched was Lomax.
I never watched Jim Hart play football, but by God, since he was a Cardinal? HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM ! ! ! !

Even though I’m an Arizona native, I really enjoyed watching Jim Hart in my younger years. I even have a Jim Hart replica helmet
Happy Birthday Mr. Hart!

I loved watching Jim and the rest of the team play back when I was a Cardinals fan in the 1970s. Jim also played for my alma mater, Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where I spent my 20s after getting out of the Army. The Cardiac Kids sure were exciting to watch.

I remember when he took over for Terry Nofsinger in the final game in 1966. ( I had to look that up to get the year right....lol )
I have many fond memory's of him. He wasn't always the best, but when got hot there was none better. The years when he played for Don Coryell is when we got the nick name Cardiac Cards. He orchestrated many come backs in the forth quarter. Those years was some of the most exciting years the Cards ever had.
With KK and KM now, I'm hoping we will see that kind of excitement again.

Happy BIRTHDAY JIM HART
Southern Illinois
17 year NFL Veteran all but 1 with the Cardinals.
I got to talk to Jim and Dan Dierdorf on KMOX Sports Talk Radio one night. KMOX's signal was so strong I could listen even in Florida.
I saw one of his first rookie games and 17 years of leadership as an NFL QB

Who knows, I may have heard your question or comment all those years ago. Who was the host....I'm thinking Jay Randolph, but I could be wrong.

Growing up in South St Louis in the 70's, I was a big Fan of #17. Watching those games on Sunday, then tossing the ball under the street lights well after dark. Lot of great memories.... Happy Birthday Jim.

What was your most gratifying moment as a St. Louis Cardinal? Jim said it was when he put on his Cardinal unifom and went out on the field for the first time. T.C. Remember the Ottis and Theotis show. Ottis Anderson and Theotis Brown

Ottis Anderson and Theotis BrownI do remember that show, but not as well as the Jim and Dan Dierdorf show. I can't help to think Dierdorf did that show to prepare for life after football. As I'm sure you know, he later became a NFL announcer and even reached the top by being on Monday night football. I have to be honest, that made me proud of him. Gifford, Dierdorf, Michaels
Maybe this is not the right place for this, but KMOX was a wonderful station back then. They had great personality's from morning till night. Whether is was sports talk or talk show host. This is just a few of the people that worked and/or appeared there in no particular order. Bob Costas, Jack Buck, Jack Carney, Joe Buschbaum, Anne Keefe...( she was a stodgy old gal and even though I was a young party hard guy at the time, I grew to like her ) and I absolutely loved Bill Wilkerson, the KMOX color guy for Cardinals football games. There are many others that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Sorry for reminiscing, but KMOX was my favorite station back then.
