This morning on the "Doug and Wolf" show had a segment on players that are surprising coaches/scouts for Cardinals -
Calvisi cited these: - Rudy Ford - Safety/Special Teams
- Jeremy Cash - LB -- played on Panthers in 2016 and was brought over from Cleveland. Thinks he helps being a quality depth guy.
- Andrew Vollert - UFA from Weber State playing tight end. Gresham has mentioned to Calvisi that he is someone to watch and strengthens the TE room. Could be the surprise UFA to make the 53-man roster.
- Gabe Holmes - TE from Purdue with 3 yrs NFL experience. I remembered him at Purdue and believe he could contribute.
Wolfley cited these players: - Chase Edmonds -- after talking with scouts for Cards ... they are raving about Edmonds and believe he will be the #2 RB behind DJ.
- Christian Kirk -- is showing why he was highly drafted.
- Brandon Williams - coaches have refined his technique and he is growing in confidence and playing more to his athletic ability -- time will tell.
- D. Bucannon - is never off the field in OTA's and plays in every package with coaches giving him the responsibility to call out the defensive signals.
Of course by both gentlemen, Josh Rosen was the #1 takeaway from OTA's

More important is who wasnt mentioned. Probable busts Nkemdiche and Reddick.
Reddick wont be the complete failure Nkemdiche is, but he will never live up to his rnd 1 status. I see a very Kevin Minter type career for Reddick.

Wolfley at other times this past week has mentioned Nkemdiche but he didn't put him on the list today because he wants to see it in pads rather than OTA's ... fool me twice shame on me.

I see a very Kevin Minter type career for Reddick. The saying goes in OTA's, the closer to the ball you are, the less opportunities you get to show off talent. That means both lines aren't going to get the chance to "make plays". Notice they didn't mention any linemen on their lists, including CJ, Golden, Pierre, Hump, or Cole. Let's see their list during training camp when real reps are taken.

It's flag football people. I don't care what anyone says until they put the pads on. That seperates the players from the wanna bees.
