Yeah, we're gonna need DJ if we want to go 8-8 this season. NFL does require a deep roster, or so it seems in the AZ.

This is just more reason to consider Adrian Peterson for insurance purposes. As long as AP would be getting close to league minimum, and would understand he is the #2 I'm sure his ego wouldn't get in the way of a good opportunity. AP was OTH in '17. Nothing improved since he was released in early '18. If insurance is needed for DJ, I'd go with a much younger option.

Apparently the coaches are mighty impressed with Chase Edmonds, so is that young enough?

DJ has that contract extension kind of injury. Contractitus is a serious condition and highly contagious especially in talented sports stars. Suggested treatment is a long term contract with a very large signing bonus.

I read they are currently in negotiations on a new contract and his agent has told him not to step onto the field until the deal is done.
It makes sense. These OTA's are voluntary, and as much as we can say "an injury can happen anytime" how crazy would it be to voluntarily participate in OTA's, get hurt and have it put millions and millions of dollars in jeopardy.
DJ knows how much practice time he needs to be game ready. Since he will be about 80% of our offense this year if we are a decent team...I'm fine with him missing as much time as possible before week 1.

So YES is my best answer, statistically.

Since camp is starting up I dont think its not-relevant to bring this back up.
Never knew what the injury was, but the Cards were very cagey about it....lets keep an eye out during camp to see if it flares up again.

I feel like this season has been cursed from the get-go. - HC and starting QB retire
- Sub-par FA period
- Too good to be true draft
- Arrests of Kirk, RSJ, and our freakin' General Manager
- Hold-out up until now David Johnson who could have an injury we don't really know about
And we haven't even started training camp really. If this trend continues, I wouldn't be surprised with a 2-14 season. Usually I'm an optimist but this offseason has been unprecedented in every way for our team. I'm not even superstitious but it just looks like 2018 is doomed to fail.
