Read about it on NFL website. Didn't say a whole lot other that coach wasn't saying much about it. Like Native said, hopes it's not serious.

Wilks mustve gone to the same school as Okafor. The school of "how not to make a minor thing into a huge story because you think no-comment is an OK answer".no-comment is never an OK answer, because peoples imaginations will run wild.
If hes hurt, say so. If hes not, say so. But never ever go with "no comment". Its gasoline.

If it was serious, they would have to say something about it.... my guess is that the coaching staff is extra precautionary with DJ so if he even has anything minor they'll give him the day off. Atleast I hope that's it...

There was not anyone who wanted David Johnson before the draft more than me. I have Iowa ties so watched him extra closely and fell completely in love during Sr Bowl. I drafted him on EVERY draft simulation to will him on to the team. Had to defend him and his hammy injury his rookie year to all my friends because I wouldn’t shut up about him.
I am a bit concerned about David. I feel he has lost some of his humility. Talking about 1500 yards rushing and 1000 yards receiving is annoying to me. Just play the game. He has basically had two serious injuries his last two games out. (Hence me wanting Rashaad Penny to back him up). So he couldn’t even finish his last two games, I would just keep quiet and let your play speak for you. I think that TV show gave him a bit of a big head.
I hope I am wrong but I am not liking what I have seen out of him lately. I was concerned going into last year with all that talk and it got squashed real quick.
I just want him to keep quiet and ball out. Great kid, just need to see the young humble kid that just tore it up. I dont like all this “me” stuff.

This is just more reason to consider Adrian Peterson for insurance purposes. As long as AP would be getting close to league minimum, and would understand he is the #2 I'm sure his ego wouldn't get in the way of a good opportunity.

What we know: it's a "big" enough injury to mention to the media that something happened.
It's the beginning of June, so there's some time to heal
The injury occurred during OTA's, which increases the chance of a non-contact injury
What we don't know: what part of the body was injured
How serious it is
Why they won't tell us yet

I always enjoyed your posts on the other board so I'm glad to see you've come over (though I believe I might have beat you to the punch as the first one mentioning DJ and that in every mock draft months before the actual draft that I had DJ going to the Cards in Rd #3 -- formerly SurpriseCardfan) here.
I am not worried about DJ and his goal proclamation of 1500/1000 but this strange "injury" whereby he is standing throughout practice and moving around without any notice of discomfort .... hmmmmm, so I'll speculate -- could it be that SK is working on a 4 yr deal with his agent right now so the Cards can 1) Absorb some of the cap hit in 2018 leaving more $$ to pay FA's in 2019 and 2) Give DJ (new father) some security and not wait for L. Bell's contract in Pittsburg which would put more pressure on his agent to ask for more $$ than today. Working on this deal now and holding him out for a few days also makes sense why Wilks doesn't want to talk about it at all.

If he does have another injury then you can kinda agree with the people that say he isn't very durable. Injuries in the last two games, even though one is kinda a freak wrist injury and now something in ota's.... I sure hope he can play the whole season. Our offense is probably structured around him heavily.

Sources are saying it's not serious, whatever that means. If it's anything to do with the legs, even a minor injury is a big deal for a running back. Hopefully it's just a bruise on his shoulder or something
