I was talking to Endzone on the phone not long ago.
About Kyler Murray
I wanted him to succeed so bad this year for many reasons
but it never happened. He is like a pair of flips flops
from back in the day. Good game/Bad game flip flop.
My breakdown of observations
In no particular order.
1. Fox sports is covering one of our games
and it is just right before Kickoff. The crew
films Kyler Murray. He is by his locker on his
cell phone ( No big deal) maybe / maybe not
2. Its the bye week. We have the first meeting with the
Seattle Seahawks. The game is in Seattle after the bye week
So let that sink in
3. Where is Kyler during the bye week? He is filmed in New York City
New York eating Pizza.
Think about the travel time and the time in the air?
Let that sink in!
4. He then travels to Seattle more time in the air.
Note there are 14 days from the start of the bye until
the game in Seattle. But subtract the next weeks' time
for practice and game planning coaches' meetings etc.
There are at least 2 days of travel Monday - Friday
After the Jets game is 5 days to get back before the weekend.
This is a guess at the days, but you get the idea.
5. Kyler's performance 24-37 285 YARDS 1 INT. <THIS A IS A PICK 6
6. Kyler has thrown more TDs to opposing teams for pick 6's than
touchdown passes to his top receiver TE Trey McBride.
5 INTS since the bye week (Needed the time off)
FOOD For Thought There are 13 QBs ahead of Kyler Murray
in seasons passing yardage. SEVEN (7)
are no longer with their original team
Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff,
Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, Matt Stafford
Of these 7 players 5 are headed for the playoffs
maybe even 6.
Rookies
Bo Nix a rookie is one spot below Kyler and only has 20 yards
less passing and he has 2 more passing TDS and the same number of picks 8
Jayden Daniels is close and has 2 interceptions less at 6
Caleb Williams has one more Passing TD 16 and 3 less INTS at 5 than Kyler
So 3 rookies are within striking distance of our 6 year experienced QB.
let that sink In! Some are already having a better year even on losing teams
Oh but wait we are a running team. Then why are we 5th in rushing yards and not first.
Coaches get the blame too. Petzing play calling, Gannon and Monte not getting the right guys in here.
We had the opportunity to win a division with opponents teams loaded with injuries
even more so than we were. Yet, we are in last place.
