How is Marvin doing this season? Well let's compare his current Rookie season to Larry Fitzgerald's Rookie season.
Marvin Harrison Jr.
Targets: 60
Receptions: 33
Receiving Yards: 499
Receiving Touchdowns: 6
Catch Percentage Average: 51.64%
Longest Catch: 60 Yards
Yards Per Target: 7.3
Games Played: 10
Larry Fitzgerald
Targets: 115
Receptions: 58
Receiving Yards: 780
Receiving Touchdowns: 8
Catch Percentage Average: 50.4%
Longest Catch: 48 Yards
Yards Per Target: 6.8
Games Played: 16
Harrison is not that far off from Larry's Receiving Yards and Receiving Touchdowns. Marvin just barely beats Larry on Catch Percentage Average. Marvin is only 2 Touchdowns away from equaling Larry in Receiving Touchdowns. Marvin is only 280 yards away from equaling Larry's Receiving Yards.
Think about this, Larry had Boldin on his opposite to draw coverage off of him.
However, Marvin has McBride to draw coverage off of him.
Larry had McCown at QB.
Marvin has Murray at QB.(Murray is better than McCown)
Larry had Emmitt Smith as RB.
Marvin has James Connor as RB
(Very equal if you look at the stats, but I think Connor will edge out what Emmitt did that season)
What is funny, is that Larry not only had Boldin, Bryant Johnson one of our 1rst round picks was actually had ok stats considering he was the #3 WR. He did not hold up to being drafted in the first round.
The other thing we have to take into consideration when comparing Larry to Marvin is the defense during Larry's Rookie Season. I only say this because I am thinking that because of the following players on our defense that our offense was able to get the ball more often...I haven't checked those stats...so I could be wrong. On our Defense in 2004:
Bertrand Berry
Adrian Wilson
Karlos Dansby
Kyle Vanden Bosch
The CB Corp in 2004
David Macklin(4 Int's)
Renaldo Hill
Duane Starks(3 Int's)
Michael Stone
Considering that the 2004 Defense seemed to have a better roster than we have, we went 6-10 that season...hmm...we are already at 6 wins....

To sum it up, Marvin was an excellent choice if he can equal or exceed Larry's career stats. And when I just compared Marvin's Rookie Season to Larry's Rookie Season, perhaps that can happen. Even if Marvin gets close to what Larry achieved in his career...
Just thought I would provide this info just for fun....
