I sure hope he means somewhere else.
They stumbled into some luck with Ryland and they better not sacrifice him for Prater. Ryland was worthy of a 4th round pick to a team and had some mental rookie yips that he has matured and gotten over.
They completely lucked into him and I will be very upset if they screw that up.
Keep him and we have the best young duo of kickers in the league I believe.

It would be foolhardy to overlook Ryland's contributions to the success of the team, especially the last second game winning FG's he's kicked. That said, Prater is not chopped liver. Regardless, he's definitely reached the final phase of his career, and should not be a reason to consider sitting Ryder. I have to wonder if Gannon would like to see Ryder's reaction as a part of "the price of admission". edit: If so, I hope that doesn't come back to bite him. The situation could hinge on the communication that takes place if Gannon does indeed pull Ryland and put Prater on the field. I would hope it would go further than the simple "shouldn't lose the job due to an injury".
I just think the opportunity has presented itself to make a change.
