According to ESPN…Through (9) weeks Kyler Murray is currently #5 in QBR at 71.5 behind (1) Lamar Jackson; (2) Joe Burrows; (3) Jayden Daniels and (4) Josh Allen. And he’s one ahead of Patrick Mahomes. That’s pretty good company to be in with (4) of the above QBs pretty much in position to be playoff bound. Give the Devil his due…but how he performs during November and December football will determine if the Cardinals play any football during January.

This QBR ranking has to please even the most stubborn Cardinals fan. Next, let's see what KM can do to get the team into the playoffs and then win a game there. That's the mark of an All-Pro NFL QB.

But I’ve been told he’s “done” in the NFL?? 🤣🤣 There is a lot that goes in to figuring out Qbr and it is very subjective. As long as he keeps the mistakes down and the wins coming he will have a good rating and those key runs he makes otherwise Qbr will plummet. I hope he does just hope he becomes more effective with playaction. Right now he is doing good knock on wood lol.

I just hope our "Once in a generation WR" becomes just that! Sure thought coming out of college his ball handling skills were better than what we've seen lately.

Yeah a little sloppy with the ball and the unnecessary jumping when catching the ball hope he stops that as well. There are things I really like about him but there is some changes that need to be made. I never noticed that when looking at his games in college.

Yeah a little sloppy with the ball and the unnecessary jumping when catching the ball hope he stops that as well. There are things I really like about him but there is some changes that need to be made. I never noticed that when looking at his games in college. I was warning people he was not rated highly compared to the other top WR prospects in winning jump balls or yards after catch. He is more technical and finesse than tough. I warned people not to give his name any more clout than it should get, in that he was raised and trained by one of the best. But I’ll guarantee you he was raised in more luxury than his dad, and that could be a negative out-weighing the positives of being “Jr”. Jerry Rice’s kid Brenden is about the same size as Harrison Jr plus 10-15 lbs of muscle and only managed to get drafted in the 7th by the Charger, a hometown pick from USC. My high school kids in Tempe know a lot of Hamilton athlete friends and let’s just say Brenden did not have the best reputation. Marvin does have a great reputation, and his college performance was excellent and worthy of a first round pick. I never thought he was a sure thing much less a “generational” WR. Give him some time, he will work out the rookie stuff. Only concern I have about him is you can’t coach a personality trait, so I don’t ever think he will be a “dawg” like Nabers or Odunze. That’s ok, WR’s don’t have to be. Just don’t expect any Anquan Boldin comparisons. Dude has 5 TDs in 9 games, one of which he left early with an injury. I think on one of the threads I said a successful first season IMO would be 8 TDs and 1000 yards. He might still get there. He’s had two 100+ yard games.

Well Kyler missed him on a long touchdown and twice never even looked at him wide open for touchdowns. I have no doubts in the talent just needs to clean up some things. We have gotten glimpses of what he can be hope that changes where it's not just glimpses.

There does seem like less dawg in Nabers and Odunze as well currently...maybe playing better defenses or teams more aware to shut them down. Brian Thomas continues to be the most consistent rookie WR. MHJ may have garnered that focus from day one as well or played better defenses early. Thomas and MHJ have more TDs and better QBR when targeted. Thomas and MHJ are showing to be more elite than Nabers and Odunze with signs of much higher ceilings. I value the higher TDs over total yardage as well as QBR when targeted...a sign of being more elite and trustworthy when targeted. MHJ with his errors has a QBR when targeted about identical to McBride. That is a positive sign of his reliability to catch when targeted rising. Maybe MHJ's level headed machine like consistent practice and preparation translates in time as the factor to make up for the perceived lack of fiery dawg on the field.

I want MHJ to be That #1 WR we all desire to see.

Against the #2 pass defense K1 was 23-24 after missing his first throw. He breaks the Card record of consecutive completions against one of the best pass defenses.
Even better was getting smoked and getting up with a smile… was it a fake smile and did he get riled?
The performance post sack was the most impressive in his career. He wasn’t sped up or inaccurate after the sack…let that digest a bit for the haters and doubters.
A sign of a great competitor who is maturing and able to stay on task with adversity.
I have a feeling Denny would “ crown his *ss” and appreciate what K1 is doing.
An additional point on the one and only sack of the game is isn’t on the OL…the overload blitz and the bad design of the play… I have a hard time saying Dortch at a buck-sixty should step in and block a player twice his size.
Pretty good PFF rating for the banged up OL.
I could care less what others and the media view K1 and his MVP projections of chances…he is the MVP on this team.

A little update saying K1 is on pace to be in contention as the league’s MVP…you are not only a nerd…you’re as subtle as a bat to the noggin. LOL
