At the last game on December 24, 2023, the Bears chomped on the Tweetie Bird Cardinals. The game was ugly. Things got out of hand early, and the game was lost by halftime. The Bears' defense relaxed a bit and allowed the Cardinals to score some points to avoid an embarrassing Christmas Eve loss prior to the final whistle. The final was 27-16.
On Sunday, November 3, two tough teams looking for stardom will again battle for bragging rights. The two teams have always brought their A-game to each match since 1920. There is no way to know the final score or who will win. The winner, it seems, is always a coin flip. The Cardinals will be at home in front of a 50% Cardinals, 50% Bears fan club. Homefield advantage is zero.
The Bears have a solid Defense--no weaknesses. So what. Last week, WR Marvin Harrison went toe to toe against arguably the League's best CB, Jalen Ramsey. MHJ and KM beat the best and scored a huge TD. TE McBride also chipped in with another 100-yard game. RB Connor was stalled most of the game and that opened some time and space for Murray to test his legs in the 4th quarter, which he did, leading to the game winning FG.
The Cardinals Offense is way better than the Bears offense. The OL is improved in experience and skill. With the scoring weapons that Murray has, there is no reason that I can think of for the Cardinals to not score at least 24 points, and possibly 4 TDs to go with some long FGs. It's time for the sensation rookie QB Williams and his baby Bears to be exposed, intercepted, and rolled up by a vastly improved Cardinals O/D/ST squad.
I think the Cardinals finally put it all together on Sunday and generate the high score by the final gun. Fortune Favors the Bold. The Bears will put up a good fight but fall short. (I edited the score down, then up again, Nov 1. I reading team charts too much.)
Cardinals 31 Bears 19

Caleb Williams is not one of these guys:
Josh Allen (First in their division) Mathew Stafford(We know who he is) Jared Goff(First in their division) Jayden Daniels(First in their division) Brock Purdy(We know who he is) Jordan Love(Second in their division) Justin Herbert(The worst of these 8 QB's) Tua Tagovailoa(We know who he is)
Those are the QB's we have played against this season.
Caleb might have looked good against the Jaguars and Panthers, but besides those two teams, they have not scored more than 24 points in their other 6 games. I really think we keep them to no more than 20 points.
Maybe their Defense is not as good as it seems...
Against these QB's:
Titans with Will Levis as the QB. Colts with Anthony Richardson as the QB. Who by the way got benched as of today. (Bears allowed 21 Points) Rams with no Nakua or Kupp in this game. (Bears allowed 18 Points) Panthers who suck.
So, their Defense has played against the 4 horrible offenses above.
Our offense is way better than those 4 above...there is no way their Defense will hold Connor, Murray and Marvin. They are in or a surprise...
Cardinals 28 Bears 20

I have been trying to predict a score by using my head versus my heart. I would love to predict Cardinals wins in every game but it just doesn't happen. Well, after 2 early silver medals....I thought the Cardinals would lose to 49ers and Dolphins and predicted such. Boy, was I wrong! I don't know if it was luck, persistence, or just brut win and determination but they surprised me.
The Bears losing on an embarrsing and intertaining hail mary and the Cardinals inconsistency can get this game sideways either way.
But, As Flash said above the teams the Bears beat had issues (Rams without two great WRs, Titans, Panthers, and Jaguars suck) and the Bears lost to better teams like the Texans, Colts and Commanders. I expect a close game because that's just who the Cardinals are. At the end of the day, I feel the offense has showed that they can move the ball and make adjustments to score plus Cardinals appear to be the better team, I'm going with:
Cardinals 24 and Bears 20.

The Cards did a flip-flop in the in the first “half” of the season… First portion went 1-3, then they went 3-1 the 2nd portion. Now, as everyone knows, they won 2 in a row for the first time since ‘21. All of us want to see them continue to stack ‘em high! If they defeat the Bears, they will have a winning record and there’s a decent chance that may continue. 😎 Go Cards!!! Cards win 23-20

October 32, 718am ET: I plucked this nugget from ESPN/NFL this morning. I may adjust my prediction later. Or, stick with the 30+ points. Be bold, or go home!
ESPN -- "Chicago has allowed 21 points or fewer in 12 straight games, which ties its longest streak over the past 30 seasons. The catalyst behind that surge? Defensive end Montez Sweat. Since Sweat was traded to the Bears on Oct. 31, 2023, Chicago has allowed the second-fewest points per game (17.5) in the NFL."

Will Sweat B Available to play this weekend?
If Not, then I see the CARDs with another Squeaker W! BUT if he plays... it's a real tossup.

Will Sweat B Available to play this weekend? If Not, then I see the CARDs with another Squeaker W! BUT if he plays... it's a real tossup. The last CHI Sweat injury report lists "Shin" as his problem, so that's not a bad injury necessarily and might not keep him sidelined Sunday. A shin bone bruise is uncomfortable until a bruise settles down. Fix: Put some ice on it. A shin guard can be worn to ensure the same spot doesn't get whacked again. Soccer players wear shin guards a lot. Of course, they kick the daylights out of each other. If the Sweat problem is a shin splint, that's a whole different kettle of corn. That's a fissure in the bone and can be extremely painful and swell up significantly just by standing on the leg. Rest is the only cure. I had shin splints in my 20s and 30s, if anyone wants to know if the problem is teen-related.
