Wasn't liking the game from the get go. Batted balls at the line were always a concern for Kyler but that was frustrating to watch. In the end though the little guy sure showed some heart. That's what we want out of our QB, not a YouTube celebrity, a fighter for the team.
Love Mark Schlereth as the announcer. Unlike the Monday Night crew, this guy actually knows the team. And it shows.
Is this the coming out party for MHJ? Loved to see the fight in him. It could have gone the other way if he really was a pouty little brat.
By not having a run game yesterday can it be argued it forced Penzing out of his comfort zone and he had to stretch the field more? Hell yea.
Our Oline is above average , we have one of the best RB's in the game, a better receiving core, the excuses are over for Kyler. Six years here, it's time to shine.
And then there's the defense. I dont think we've ever had a version here that had practically ZERO pass rush. It's tough to watch and falls on Monti to fix.
Max Melton (PFF 48). I hated the draft pick at the time simply because we passed on Cooper DeJean (78 PFF) or Kool-Aid McKinstry. Both performing better. Only time will tell right? I mean I like his moxy but he may not have the speed.
Did everyone see Trey Benson break tackles on ONE run. Lets do that some more kid. I mean he has Conner there as his example.
I like McBride over George Kittle. We got us a superstar TE. First time ever as a Cardinal fan.
Buddha Baker has been our best defensive player all year. He smells more money.
We're 4-4. Our division is not the best. We have to be all in now. Is it time to bring Reddick in here?

Thanks for the post
The Reddick train has left the station and he signed with the 2-5 Jets… he paid for his vacation and seems happy to be playing for the dumpster fire…he may have taken too many hits to the head…very questionable choices he made in 2024.

The Cardinals' defense's inability to stop the Dolphins' offense in the first half almost cost them the game on Sunday. The Cardinals' stats were horrendous. I know the Cardinals won the coin toss, but geez, giving the opposition a 7-0 start two games in a row should be a wake-up call to Rallis, Petzing, and Gannon. The Cardinals offense was hot coming out of the locker in games 1-5, scoring first with TDs. What the hell happened since the GB game? It's a snoozer offense at games 6-8, and that can't continue. The Cardinals have all the right weapons to maul defenses. Little things keep stopping forward movement and moving the chains.
No DE or Edge FA is coming to town to save the Defense. The guy we need on the active roster is Robinson, and his fate will be decided in a few hours or days. The NFL deadline is October 30th. Robinson then plays, or he goes to IR until 2025. His is a sad story, I'm sure. A calf injury? A home issue? A bad Draft choice? We'll find out the answers soon.
I'm convinced Rallis will not change his 4-man front and 3-4 design. Fortunately, we have on defense good old #3, Budda Baker, acting like a kamikaze and divebombing the QB and RB from the Safety position when he feels the moment is right. Without Baker's instincts, we'd have no rush at all.
I think the WR Harrison disease is cured. He got the message. The next guy to get the message is RB Benson. He needs more snaps and carries. But taking the ball out of bell-cow RB Connor's hands is foolhardy. The team needs Connor out there on almost every play. I don't know how he does it, spending so much energy on each run and catch, and not collapsing on the sidelines. I'd not survive one play the way he puts everything on the line.
McBride owns all defenses now. He's fearless everywhere.
I'm not worried about CB Melton. He's going to be okay. He's learning fast. I like his instincts, similar to CB Thompson, to correctly cover and not get PI flags. Just give Melton more time to grow.
The 4-4 record does not impress anyone but Cardinals fans. It was a hard slog to get here. To get respect, the team needs to win something important. That won't happen until the playoffs.

I completely agree with you on this one...even though he may not be the caliber to play as our #1 CB...I thought he was pretty good...
Our division opponents have to many WR Weapons....
Kupp Nacua Aiyuk Deebo Metcalf Njigba
We need to have a very good CB Corp...to be able to contain those WR's...I would love to draft a CB with our first round pick next Draft...a True #1 CB...

Melton has had rookie mistakes and it does worry me a tiny bit, but I’m glad he’s getting the reps and I think he will be ok. Whether he will be as good or better than DeJean is another question, but we have to remember it’s not Melton or DeJean, it’s Melton and Tip Reiman or DeJean, and I’m liking Reiman.
I don’t think we have an above average Oline. I think we have an above average RB in Conner who breaks more tackles than maybe any, and a QB who is escaping pressure like a greased pig. Our Oline was allowing the 8th most pressures going into the game, despite being one of the less blitzed teams, which means his passing success is coming against an extra defender or two. I think after the Miami game once the stats roll in we might inch to the 7th most pressures allowed, because Kyler was really scrambling in this one.

I'm on record of preferring Melton and with the addition of Reiman into the equation, then I think the trade was a smart bit of business. Time well tell on this but whatever, you can only hope the choices made were the right ones and then support the men in the building. - If DeJean has a stellar career in the NFL, then I wont be losing sleep over it. I don’t think we have an above average Oline. I think we have an above average RB in Conner who breaks more tackles than maybe any, and a QB who is escaping pressure like a greased pig. Still work to do with the O-Line. - A never ending treadmill for improvement!

The CB position is one of the key benchmarks for the success of a team. A blocking TE doesn't move the needle much. If you're getting burned at CB it costs the team a lot of points. If DeJean is significantly better than Melton (and he is at this point) , it's a huge loss . I'm reading different stats, Kyler is getting much less pressure than the ave. QB. Murray is tied for the 5th LEAST pressured QB, 26.8 %. Pressures/game, 3rd BEST, 8.9 the OLine season ave is 8.7 pressures per game. It actually meets the eye test too. Our Online is pretty darn good this year. Kyler needs to be better.
