Official Game Day Thread Arizona Cardinals @ Miami Dolphins

I saw Mike Bidwill come off the field and run through the tunnel seconds before the team showed up. Then team acted like they just won the NFCC game and were on the way to the Super Bowl in 2 weeks. That was one heck of a happy Cardinals team after the 28-27 win at H.R.S. on Sunday afternoon.

The next test is Chicago next Sunday. They are a depressed bunch after the shocking loss to Washington.

The Bears' defense has carried the team to the 4-win record. Williams and the offense did hardly anything to aid the wins. 

The Bears' road loss at the Commanders on Sunday was a bitter pill to swallow. Again, the defense did enough to win, except on one play, the Hail Mary. 

I agree, the Bears' fans will show up enmasse on Sunday. They will be rowdy and loud. That could play into OC Petzing's hands. He will have to yell into the mic, which will distort his lips, and cause Bears lipreaders to misread calls to the QB.

I've been watching the JV Podcast more and more. First, the guys are great with pointing out things on video that we all missed. The guys are honest about good and bad stuff. 

For those of you saying our defense is the primary concern...I have to disagree...look at these stats:

What stands out the above stats? Not a single RB, WR or TE had more than 100 yards rushing or receiving...

Tyreek was kept to 72 Receiving Yards and 0 TD's. Waddle was kept to 45 Receiving Yards and 0 TD's. Sure, you might be thinking that Tua was back for his first game...and that he was not at full throttle...think about this...Hill and Waddle were not coming back from a concussion. We already know what either of them could do if they get the ball in their hands...but guess what...our defense held each of them to less than 100 Receiving Yards and Zero Touchdowns! Yes, that same defense that some of you are saying is so bad...

Do I think we need improvements on defense? Absolutely! I have to give Melton Kudos for covering Hill most of the game. He made a couple of Rookie mistakes, but overall for a second round pick...he lived up the being picked in the second round...do we consider drafting a CB next year with our first round pick and trade up to try and get the best or almost the best CB in the Draft? I would like to see this next year:

1. First Round Pick CB(Would cover the best WR of our opponents)
2. Melton(Would cover the 2nd best WR of our opponents)
3. Garrett(Would be our slot CB)

Miami's RB's were almost the answer to them beating us. We need to improve our PASS RUSH AND BE ABLE TO CONTAIN OUR OPPONENTS RB'S....

I just think that we are not that far off from having a top 5 Secondary next year. I wonder how Bunting would have done had he played...

That game was great for me because my oldest son has been a Dolphin's Fan forever...I would have heard about us losing to them had that happened...I have bragging rights now until we play them again...ha ha ha
