Okay, the colonoscopy came out ok but guys.....we have a serious issue on the defensive side of the ball. There's prospective talent out there worth pursuing that can't be any worse than what we already have and most likely would offer an improvement. And I still maintain too that letting Budda go is not the answer. The biggest issue IMO is not getting to opposing QB's enough and my belief is that if we get stronger up front, our secondary will improve and Budda's name won't be the only one these announcers keep praising. Our defense today nearly cost us this game. No doubt it’s the defense that is making this version of the Cardiac Cards “cardiac”. But the got the stop when it counted at the end. Oh man if we could only bring pressure. We could be really good. Of all the improvements needed, defense looks to me the most critical. It could mean the difference whether we make postseason or not. |

SEA is screwing the pooch vs. BUF. 4 plays inside the 5 and did not convert. Still 7-0, BUF ahead, 1st half.

It is all going Cardinals way today - - 1st time in a long time the team has back-to-back wins
- McBride and today MHJ were UN-guardable so Cards win even though running game not so good... Trey Benson with best run of the game from scrimmage but he only had the one carry ?
- Bills up by 7 vs. the SeaChickens so in another 2 1/2 hrs the Cards could be in first place of the NFC West.
- Jets implode vs Pats so in 2 weeks that team when they come to SFS could be in full "give-up" mode.
- Can DROB play next week ? ... he must be activated by Wednesday or out for the season
- This win puts Cardinals in potential buy-mode -- my targets are Azeez Ojulari, Evan Neal RG and Jaycee Horn if you can pry him from the lowly Panthers.
- Hope Commanders beat up on the Bears -- lots of high ankles sprains for Bear players, hopefully.
- They talked about it on the broadcast -- coaches talked to Kyler about quieting his feet and not speeding up his mind/feet in the pocket until he needs too .. much better control of the offense.
Not too many major errors though JC didn't seem to be running as hard until the 4th qtr. PJJ 2 holding penalties, Jalen Thompson not recovering the fumble on Miami's first drive and the ONE Mis-connection between KM1 & MHJ on Cards last drive of the first half. (Looked like MHJ was not the primary and he didn't read the inside coverage to make a quick out move for a nice gain though KM1 can't throw up his hands after the throw in disgust.)
K1's footwork...slowing it down was big |

Marv wasn't giving much effort on that play - seemed to be going half speed. That's one of his past failings when not a primary intended receiver, but I thought this game he was more diligent overall with his play. I agree about KM's reaction being less than helpful, but it's not new. IMHO |

K1's footwork...slowing it down was big I did see some nervous hopping around by Murray early today but not as bad as past games going back a few years. Murray was especially tough in the 2nd half today. He hits some huge passes for long gains. The receivers all really stepped up today. Did any Cardinals WR drop a ball? I don't think so. McBride and Harrison were All-Pro. Murray suddenly is special in the NFL again. He has earned my respect for the 4-4 record. I did not see this QB performance and the record coming back in Aug. |

The reference was about his footwork and slowing it down so his timing was fitting the routes better. Part of the poor throws by K1 this year are from him rushing his steps prior to the passes. Then the hopping happens as the WR is getting to their spot....bad footwork=bad pass His ability to threaten as a runner is another plus I would agree with. It is hard to communicate sometimes. |

As Dryheat posted the Card's offense was pretty solid...looking at the game stats they were mirror images of each other as per the teams and were as close as the score. Pretty good for the away team to match the Fins today.
