Ok…l live in the East…and I’m old enough to have watched the Cardinals play in St. Louis…I’m old school but I like to debate the Gen X and Millennials on their ideas and beliefs…and of course their technology…so I just forked over $12.82 to watch the Cards/Charger game streamed on ESPN + on my IPHONE…Question…have I finally given in to the ideas of the WOKE Generation…or am I just a helpless Cardinal fan who needs to watch his helpless franchise go through their weekly loss to get through my week? What say you OLD GAURD? Anyone else fork over some money to watch this week? 😳

I have ESPN with ESPN+ almost every year for watching college games and a couple games makes it more economical for me to have it for the season.
Years ago I had cable and when Dierect had the NFL ticket I had that...Now You-Tube with the NFL ticket unlimited watching old games and no need to record and less money than cable or Direct TV...so my extra ESPN App is still under what I used to pay.
I watch a ton of FB, so the streaming option is already in my budget.
There is a price to pay being a fan. I like the entertainment of sports...better than most movies being produced.

RTP,
I pay extra for Sunday Ticket. I ponied up $395 in 2024. Last year, it was $295. Next year, I predict $495. I might choke on that next price. We'll see. Otherwise, I accept whatever is served up on local broadcast TV (Local TV always has a Commanders game and most of the Steelers games) and ESPN I and II (local TV stations show a ton of U.S. college FB games every weekend). For example, on Saturday, I watched the NCAAF AL/TN game and was too sleepy to watch the GA/TX game. Today, I watched the NFL KC/SF game which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'll stay up very late on Monday to watch the entire LAC/ARZ game. Jeez, I hope that my night FB time is worth the investment.
About forking over almost $13 to watch a game on a tiny 5" iPhone screen, well, that's called 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder.' I would instead go to a favorite local sports bar, order a hotdog and beer, and watch the MNF game on a 120" inch 8K TV. That's just me. But if you are sharing that iPhone screen with a cutie next to you, perhaps there are side benefits that the sports bar cannot offer you.

EZ EZ you read me right about the cutie!!! 😉 I’m actually right near a sports book with huge TV’s and a bar…problem is…they close during the week at 11:00…so that’s probably late 3rd Quarter when all the action in an NFL game takes place! Same problem with some other sports bars in the area. Why invest (2) plus hours to watch a game you can’t see the complete 2nd half on? 😳 I’ll poney up the $13 and deal with the “distractions” my cutie presents to me during the first half before she falls asleep 💤 for the rest of the game…but that should work out just fine for me…just saying! 😊

RTP, it sucks when a monopoly and a WOKE POS organization like Disney will force the American public to spend what has been free forever to watch a MNF games in any market across our country. It just shows the corporate greed of WOKE and the democratic goals of suppressing the american citizens. Hell, what happened to the delay broadcast where ESPN shows the first game and ABC airs the 2nd game or vice/versa? All American football fans would win.
NFL should destroy Disney for their BS exclusive broadcast on ESPN+. Disney's an F___ing joke!!!!

I thought would post this. There are many but here is just two. ESPN+ exclusive ‘MNF’ game reportedly drew under 2 million viewers, lowest officially reported audience since 2008
Fans Crush NFL for Airing Cardinals-Chargers Exclusively on ESPN+
I'm as mad about this as anyone, but I don't necessarily blame the streaming services as much as I do the NFL. They control everything. The streaming services are just buying what the NFL will sell them. Apparently, NFL bean counters have decided the more they spread it out, the more money they will make. For now, they may be right. The NFL is awash in money, that's why the cap space goes up every year. The players demand their cut. Where will it end....I don't know, but I do think they have maxed out their efforts to maximize their profits. Then again, I might have said the same thing 5 years ago. The NFL is a juggernaut. The only way they change their ways is when people say we have had enough, and the streaming services stop buying their product because people said nope, I'm not buying that anymore.

Don’t get too many cards game though on it. So I just use a mates league pass/ dazn account for free.
