We just got beat in almost every facet of the game. A thorough beat down, I don't know of any other way to describe it.
Kyler. It always comes down to Kyler wether you believe it or not. He's the highest paid player at the most important position. How'd he do. okay is the only word I have and I'm probably being generous. Again, no real runs from him. There are times those were needed. Are they scared of him being hurt on a wet field.
Jordan Love. He's got that "it" factor. He looks engaged out there and very confident. Big arm and not afraid to run. (yes that's a knock on Kyler)
Sean Murphy-Bunting was a mediocre CB who was signed in the off season. The penalty and the brutal coverage on that series in the second half might have been among the.worst I've ever seen in a CB. He killed any chance of a comeback.
Try Benson with one good run. He seems to have graduated from the David Johnson school of running backs. Take the ball and mostly fall down. And he hasn't even got the big contract yet!!
Our pass rush ranks second last in the league. I can't believe we're ahead of someone.
Someone mentioned last week they can see the defense improving as the season goes on and possibly catapult us into the playoffs. I did not for one second believe that.
The pre-snap penalties brought me back to the Kliff era. Just brutal to watch over and over especially considering we were the best in the league. When you are a mediocre team you must be perfect in areas you can control.
It's time to put Max Melton in there to see what he's got for us. (take out Murphy-Bunting).
When you see stats such as Zach Allen leading the league in QB pressures you ask yourself "why couldn't we have signed our own young promising players when they hit FA". Who's at fault here, Keim or Bidwill? You can't let go of everyone , especially. These kind of moves really hurt.
It really does look like we just spent money at the Dollar Store during FA. It's not the way to build a team but are any of these guys good?
Watching this team is like taking a gut punch over and over again. I want to see a day where we are serious contenders in this league. But we don't really look close.

But we don't really look close. Aris, the Cardinals O/D/ST was definitely beaten yesterday. "A thorough beat down" is 100% accurate. Players were constantly out of sync on O/D/ST. Hell, the pre-snap penalties told me that some players' brains were turned off on Sunday. Maybe their brains are never turned on. If the dummies are cut this week, I won't miss them. Sean Murphy-Bunting is an embarrassment to his profession. He's the first dummy I'd cut. I was big on RB Benson at the Draft. I was mistaken. He's a waste of roster space. I dread every time he's in the huddle. I have seen nothing from him that impresses me when he carries the rock. A blade of grass can tackle Benson. He has no balance after first contact. Like you said, he does down faster than .... I won't complete that sentence. I agree that the Cardinals QB situation is becoming dire. The QB classes from 2019 to 2024 had many promising QBs. Keim and Ossenfort watched as other GMs gladly scooped up the new QB talent. Meanwhile, the Cardinals remain saddled with an expensive QB experiment that cannot win games.

I am not that surprised that Cardinal fans are very frustrated. I read ZERO post game comments before I make my thread because I want the thoughts to be mine. But I knew this one would be a tough pill to swallow. It's tough being a fan of this team.

You just have to be realistic. Put any other QB aside from Patrick Mahomes (he is the unicorn) and see how well they would do in this offense with no running game and only one legitimate receiving threat. It's not an excuse for Murray. (Yes, he has to be replaced and I'm one of those Murry critics) but Murray should not be THE reason we lost. We have a lot of problems on this team. You could argue if Murray couldn't scramble like he does, it could be worse. I've seen Murry bail out the team on broken plays with his feet. I agree that his height impacts everything on the team. (Can't play behind center, has to play out of shotgun, limited field vision etc)
The problem I have with the "blame Kyler Murray" take is that it's made with the presumption that every other part of the offense is fine. We still have holes at wide receiver, center, guard, and yes tight end (sorry not drinking the Trey McBride Kool Aid - dude still cant get open underneath)

They said on the radio that we have not have back to back wins in over 1000 days. That's pretty sad.

Trey is always open. Little Kyler just can’t see him open underneath…

Trey is always open. Little Kyler just can’t see him open underneath… If K1 can't see McBride and McBride has 8 catches for 96 yards imagine the catches if he could see him. It is very nonsensical. Drew Breeze being 1-2 inches taller could not see over 6'3"-6'9" OL players and tall defenders any better than K1 and yet had larger OLs in front of him and the lack of sight wasn't blown out of proportion. K1 had 6'9" OL players in front of him at Oklahoma and won a Heisman. Having better coaching and a better run organization or team assists QBs to be successful. Many passes in the NFL are completed to an area at a certain time clear vision of where that happens is rare. To have to have clear vision of where a WR is would be a luxury most QBs in the NFL don't get. Seeing a WR doesn't play well when anticipating where they are going to be. Seeing where a WR is helps on off-schedule plays. FB 101 vs agendas w/o giving evidence outside ire. Proper FB technique requires players to be at designated spots at certain times. What may appear as a desperation throw can be a very defined targeted throw despite defense causing a QB to get off platform and good QBs still get the ball at designated areas on time. K1 over his career is close to 70% completion rate despite his vertical challenges. A quick release with anticipation throwing where the WR is going to be is more important than height. Like last year MvBride is the most consistent option...Wilson is 2nd most consistent...MHJ can be the most explosive if he cleans up his game. Dortch took a step back this year...Higgins meh so far...Moore is gone...Weaver has potential....Tip is never thrown to...Conner is excellent at receiving, but terrible play calling on getting the ball to Conner in space short...rather they are attempting tight throws to him with defense all over them. Soon we will see if Zay has better technique than the rest of the WRs.
