arizonasports.com/story/3561294/bickley-cardinals-inconsistencies/Sports journalist Dan Bickley rips off the bandage after the Arizona Cardinals boondoggle game at the Green Bay Packers on October 13th. The team's inconsistency problem will cost someone their job. Inconsistency on the football field is a problem for both players and coaches. Practice is supposed to eliminate inconsistency. When practice does not achieve its goal, either the player doesn't get it, or the coach doesn't know what he is doing. Sometimes, practice will never work, especially if both the player and coaching ingredients are wrong. So, who gets fired first? Some members suggest that Gannon/Petzing/Rallis sit down the problem players. That's fine when the roster is chock-full of healthy and able players. The Cardinals do not enjoy a luxury of good players. Perhaps shuffling coaching responsibilities is the first step. Gannon can call plays. Move Petzing and Rallis to the booth. Gannon can hire an assistant head coach, an advisor, such as a retired HC, to assist with the so-called "culture" issue. Management tweaks sometimes work, or at least stop the bleeding. Gannon has to do something now. Bottom line: Something has to be done quickly, or the Cardinals will sink out of sight for this season. The team's record is a dismal 2-4 with 11 games left on the schedule. Fixing the team's consistency problem has to be done now. Senior management must get involved before it's too late.

Thanks EZ This was the premise of the Bill Belichik thread. I do not want any of the staff fired, but some consulting needs to take place. Maybe it is Monte to have more input and hands on to assist the youth as per coaches. Fear of sitting bad performing players with injuries and lack of depth… is a non issue…sign some PS reinforcements and go on or pull them for a few plays and attempt getting their attention that way first. Sad part is it is a few vet players tanking and that can’t be allowed to slide. I didn’t like Rallis’s response a few weeks ago about defenders need to stop the offense on 3rd down to get off the field. A Mr Obvious response is not what the public wants to hear. Where is this is what we see and this is what needs to happen or if it is lack of desire the names on the field need to be changed. McVay post loss to Cards was a clinic in his approach to the challenges without excuses and his willingness to face known challenges. His initial post game was there was no positives from the game and as the week went on he gave focal points as per approach. More than Mr Obvious statements.

One of the ugly events in the game was The Love roughing by Barnes. The punk Love said Barnes should have been smarter as Love gasped and whined after the play to be rewarded for at most consequential contact while avoiding any harm as he flew over Love. For the NLF to reward this acting or flopping and for replay not to correct the bad on field call that can be reversed with the flag being thrown is bad for the game and for Love to gloat about it after the game is an indication he will continue to flop for flags since the NFL isn’t interested in protecting the game from poor in game ethics. Love inciting a sideline upheaval to get a flag added to his poor ethics. NFL isn’t two hand touch. Barnes went beyond to avoid injuring Love… this sends the message for defenders to lay down the boom since the flag is coming anyway.

Sarcasm: odd only four man rushes on TD passes.

Barnes went beyond to avoid injuring Love… this sends the message for defenders to lay down the boom since the flag is coming anyway. Rodgers was the stage teacher for Love's theatrics during the former QB's time with the Packers. I recall many Rodgers "flops" and then flags. Some Referee's were wise to Rodger's antics. Other Referees gave the old QB the benefit of doubt in order to avoid a bad NFL grade a week later. At a playoff game, I recall a defender grabbing a handful of Rodgers jersey at the number. Rodgers jerked his head down. When the defender released, Rodgers jerked his head up. Sure enough, a flag was thrown for a horsecollar grab. The 15-yard penalty was assessed. Rodgers smiled at the Referee. The entire episode was on NFL's video, but the Referee still assessed a penalty because the call is not reviewable. The Referee was grilled later by the sports media and he said something like, "Hey, it's a fast game. Stuff happens. The NFL said protect the QBs. Yada-yada-yada." So, now we have punk Love milking the penalty system for everything he can get from the Zebras. And it's working for him.

That's an indictment of Rallis. The jury will convict him.
