This is going to impact things a lot. Bad news because where is an equal substitute?

Not on the team, as far as I know. Your two statements pretty well sums it up. They're likely scouring 31 practice squads as I type this. Surely somebody has ratholed a decent candidate among them all. Wouldn't come close to being a Will Hernandez, but there may be one that's big and strong at least. But that is not gonna help a whole lot against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. Damn the luck. Whoever filled in for him after he got hurt yesterday is a likely candidate I would imagine Knobby. Maybe not as good, but hopefully close enough to compete well as a team.

This is where they brush off the snow flakes and put some tape on his fingers and suit up Adams.
He was a 3rd round pick and it is time to get him snaps.
This is also where Colon On the roster is a great player to have. Did he give up sacks against the Niners?
Some have trash talked Colon and he has played several snaps at T and LG quite well as a swing player.
I wouldn’t hesitate to have Gaines take snaps if needed as well.
Puni was drafted after Adams and has started for the Niners all year…put the draft capital used to work.
This where having K1 helps the team with his mobility and ability to get rid of the ball fast.
Kyle post game gave K1 a shout out for drifting back on a all out blitz and making a decisive pass and completion he wasn’t expecting him to be able to deliver in the fourth quarter to help seal the game for the Cards. It isn’t popular to point out positive attributes of an undersized QB that likes playing out of shotgun…I get a little crazy at times and point out positive things now and then.

Agreed, Cardcore.
We have limited backups already and not enough of them to feel comfortable. Also a certain amount of time is needed for cohesion and getting accustomed to each other for any group of players for maximum performance. 'Next man up' has limitations when rosters are already thin in spots.
We are used to adversity so what's new? Maybe JG and MO can conjure up a miracle man, or a backup will blossom.

That injury to Hulk happened when the SF player continued rolling sideways as he fell onto the ground. The SF player did not intend to injure Hulk, but he wanted to take him down nonetheless.
I thought a kill shot against an unprotected was outlawed by the NFL 20 years ago. SF got away with a hit job.

I swear at times it seems the Cards have to beat the team they're playing while they take a beat down from the officiating crew.

There are 6 teams who are 1-4 so Cards especially with a win Sunday go from sellers to buyers in a trade market. Especially since it looks like Jonah Williams may or may not be back and with Hernandez out for the season,, a trade for an OL, DL, Edge or CB1 could be possible. I would like DRob to play Sunday to determine and rank the order of need.
As an example and going forward, the Cards really need a CB1 as Murphy Bunting has been a disappointment. I don't even know if he will be in trade rumors, but CB Jaycee Horn of the Panthers is in his 4th year and may or may not (due to injuries early in career) be available to a team trying to accumulate draft picks.
P.S. If Cards beat Packers and Hump is cleared medically next week or two, then you never know that he could be brought back as far as an OL pickup.

I wasn't able to find a video of it so I'm going to believe it was Bosa. The NFL pretends they are all for player safety but at the end of the day, it's a war out there especially in the trenches. It's not like the 60's and 70's but the current player does not hold back the opportunity to take a cheap shot. Also happened on the 49er sidelines with Trey McBride. A player who was not dressed took a cheap shot at Trey.

It was Bosa, per D. Urban's article on the Cards' website:
"Hernandez had his leg rolled up on from behind by 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, who slipped off of a tackle attempt of running back James Conner and slammed into Hernandez's left leg."
When looking at the replay, it sure appeared Bosa rolled more than would be considered naturally occurring - to my eyes.

When it happened, I didn't really pay attention to who it was but I do recall thinking that he sure did roll a few times on it.

He has proven to be a reliable, sufficient and flexible back up at all interior positions. He knows the offense and will mess up from time to time, but you can win with him in there. Adams has been a bit disappointing, but not in the run game, where he excelled. Unfortunately we need to pass as well and we need him to hold up there. Gaines looked decent as well and I still think those three are better than a PS guy from another team. Marquis Hayes is on a PS and familiar with the team. He showed some promise, but Colon probably more consistent and reliable. Unfortunately we will find out.

Two vet DLinemen, our vet guard and right tackle down. Might be another year to let the 1 and 2 year young men get a lot of playing time.

This was terrible news. Will has a big impact on the team and his play is solid. I hope he heals well and the recovery goes well. A shoutout of thanks to him and his loyalty and leadership. A big man and a good guy. I am looking forward to his return.
Maybe Hump has a fire in his gut and will jump on the bus and return to work.
