Is anyone else disappointed that Niners were missing their best player, McCaffrey, and our defense got 3 turnovers, and we only one by one point? I'll take the win, but so far, it seems like the only teams we can beat are those limping into games with their best players out, be in the Niners or the Rams. Given two of the Niners put up 8 catches and some serious yards, I can only imagine what would have happened if McCaffrey had been active.

Not me. I'm disappointed we have lost three games. Not at all disappointed that we have won two games, including today's.

Jordan Mason has put up more rushing yards than any other RB in Niner history in the first 5 games of the season. A little factoid that should have been known before this post. McCaffery is a beneficiary of a great roster and a HC who schemes for him. Based on the first five games...Mason is a bigger threat. Individual stats are great on video games, but team stats carry more weight in the NFL. Cards averaged 6.1 yards per catch and those mighty Niners averaged 6.2 yards per catch. The Cards had a FG blocked for a 10 point swing with a B/U kicker due to injury...there would have been ire if the Cards lost even though the B/U kicker got cut from the Pats due to too low of kicks at times...another important factoid to understand. If McCaffery would have played the Niner's yards per rush would have been lower than their 5.9 yards per rush today...Cards averaged 6.5 yards per carry...do I care that K1 helped the rush average?...No...it is a team sport and it was a team win. Never undermine a NFL victory there are no easy wins....lop-sided at times, but never easy. Cards had just as many significant injuries as the Niners...that seems to be discounted by some. I do not discount the victory for the Niner's kicker injury either...it had as much impact as McCaffery's injury.

I am not disappointed in the final score, and I certainly relish the Cardinals' win over the NFC West's leader most years. I heard the game announcer call the Cardinals' win 'shocking.' Perhaps it was in the broadcast booth.
The Cardinals beat the Vegas line, +7.5, I think, at kickoff. The O/U was spot on.

The Lamb's offense limped into our game and we smoked them?
I actually thought and commented on the fact that we may have turned the corner on playing down to weaker or disadvantaged teams during and after the game.
The Niners have owned us these last few years and the one stat that stood out was them scoring a TD every time they got to the red zone against us last year. 9 for 9 I believe was the stat line. Also, missing CM is a big deal, but Kittle, Samuels, Aiyuk and Purdy were all healthy.

Never disappointed in a victory. Every team has their injury problems.

An ugly win is still a win and as a Cards fan I'm happy with it.

If Mason keeps that up for an entire season that's one thing, but 5 games is a lot different than what McCaffrey has done over a career. There aren't that many guys you have to completely game plan against. It's a bit like saying the Rams are still as deadly with Aaron Donald retired. And video game or not, the Rams aren't even close to the same team without Donald and never will be. Few guys ever achieve a 99 rating. Guys like Donald and McCaffrey are those type of guys. You'll note I also pointed out them turning over the ball 3 times and didn't say it was just one issue that I felt should have led to a bigger margin. Do we have injuries? Sure. But we aren't missing guys like Murray/Connor either.

I just see a Rams/Niners team which are beaten up now (worse than us) and it's a limited opportunity for what should be easier wins. As a Cards fan, I'm used to fate pulling out our rug. This just seems like a window for us to almost steal the division. And I don't want us blowing it. And when's the last time anyone thought we could win a division with less talent than most of us hoped we'd have by now? That's the issue for me. Blowing a unique opportunity. I know I shouldn't care since an early playoff exit is meaningless to me. I don't think we have any chance at much more than sneaking into the playoffs.

Yes, we were told we were worst playoff team in history. Went into Carolina as heavy underdogs in first game, beat the holy hell out of them. Then on to Super Bowl.
