Yesterday's game had 2023 vibes, we just looked like a bad team. Even last year we never got beat this bad, maybe it even had Steve Wilks era vibes. That's scary.
Kyler.....not good enough. Interesting that both him and Daniels had KK as a coordinator in their first year. Tell me now who looked better? Tell me now who looks better in Kyler's YEAR 6, him or rookie Daniels?
Any bright moments from yesterday? Maybe Conner's running in the first half. At least they dont have Trey Benson doing his David Johnson (post contract) impression.
Paris Johnson continues to be a top 10 tackle in this league. He's a premier player.
The lack of pressure on the opposing QB is very noticeable. Monti took a big risk going into this season with this group. It shows.
So far I've liked Petzing's play calling. But to fully utilize Kyler's strengths we must throw the ball downfield more.
The Commander's defense ranked near the bottom of the league in almost every category. Let that sink in.
When Kyler runs 4 times or less we lose every time. When he runs at least 9 times we usually win. He is what he is. Needs to run around a lot more. The injury risk comes up a lot more.
When the announcers said "Bobby Wagner leads the team in tackles" was anyone really surprised. He has Frank Gore vibes, a guy who's forever good.
Credit to Kliff Kingsbury. He's a masterful coordinator and a terrible HC. He looks like 9 of 10 guys at a Scottsdale shopping mall that you'd like to punch in the face but give credit where it's due, that was impressive.
Next up, Niners, Packers and Chargers. Oh boy. We looking at 1-6? Lets face it, while so good work has been done since getting rid of Keim we are probably still a bottom 5 team. That's a little depressing.
There's now going to be threads about getting a better QB in next year's draft. I'm not quite there yet. I'd like to see us address the defense. I still think Kyler is a top 15 QB in this league.
