Congrats Ron Rivera. You built one hell of a team while sitting in obscurity.

Funny how we got sideways about drafting Murray, but here we are on the same page. I found myself wondering if this game was meant to expose Murray.

I found myself wondering if this game was meant to expose Murray. Whether or not it was, KM has done a good job of showing the public what he is and isn't, and what he can, can not or will not do. It becomes more obvious as each game goes by that he's not a true leader by example on the field, nor does he learn quickly from his mistakes. When was the last time he threw the ball away to avoid losing yards?
Add to that his "shortcomings" and his future becomes more easily seen. Has it also become clear to Mike, MO and JG? It surely wasn't earlier this year. It is also obvious that both the OL and DL have not helped KM's fate, and that play selection today seemed at kindergarten level. No variety, no surprises, no play action to speak of, and did any of our TEs even play today? Is that a slam at Petzing's ability, or was it dictated by player availability and capability? There is reason to be critical of the defensive part of the game too, so critiques are merited all around. I'd like to know what Mike has to say privately today, and to whom. All IMHO of course.

Good hearing from you Knobby You are wise IMHO. I like the OL more than what the DL has to offer. The Nickel over playing a larger ILB with White is more puzzling...the inability to come off scheme preferences is not a positive sign. They play Wilson and White together, but Wilson at OLB...they should be paired together at ILB. More beef and split the amount to be covered by the second level of the defense. Safety play was terrible. Same old Cards rising to the surface. Even the Commando fans get their day at St Farm...more apartments may be needed and less seating so the home team doesn't have to play with so much opposing fan noise. The new apartments in the end zone have quick access to an expensive bar with a Jazz band to play the blues as the alcohol flows and Mike's plans work to perfection. Mike gets his inspiration from the bow ties in cases in the bar. He has to make up for all the free food the players are getting.

Adam Peters is the general manager of the Washington Commanders. He was the assistant GM of the 49ers for years. For years he was available and we ignored making him our GM. Instead we opted for a guy who had marginal success with the Titans. I've even started threads on here saying we should hire Adam Peters back when he was with the Niners.
You can blame players and coaching staffs all day. It comes from the top. We have a bad GM who just had two mediocre drafts. I'm not saying he didn't acquire some good players but overall, the 2023 and 2024 drafts have been mediocre. Look at this draft, we drafted 3 corners and a safety and none have been impressive. Also, our GM hired a mediocre head coach.
Our GM basically hired a coach based on bravado in his interviews. He was hired because "He sounds like a leader" Those guys don't win. We already failed with one of those; his name was Steve Wilks. Instead, give me the smart coach who makes adjustments and has years of success.
If you want to see what makes successful organizations, it starts at the top. There isn't any point complaining about our players and coaches if you don't get the right people in place who hires the coaches and dafts the players here.

I found myself wondering if this game was meant to expose Murray. It definitely did for me and I am embarassed I drank the friggen koolaid instead stick to my guns and wanted to draft a Qb. I wanted that shot to have someone just in case because really the tiger doesn't change it's stripes and seeing all the things that made me doubt Kyler was on full display other then one game this year.

Cardinals lose the next 3 games (Record of 1-6) and Cardinal fans will see JC, Budda or Jalen Thompson, Gardeck being traded for whatever they can get. The tankathon website will be getting a lot more hits from Cardinal fans each week.

The tankathon website will be getting a lot more hits from Cardinal fans each week. Nobody wants Gardeck. Budda’s value has plummeted since when I first asked for his trade two offseasons ago. They won’t trade JC either. I see what you’re saying, but I do not think that will happen. Already opened talkathon and I am definitely not alone in that.

Who would you have drafted at #4? Looking back didn't like what was left at Qb would have gotten probably a lineman or take Harrison. The problem is the year before and not addressing a suitable backup plan. Heck since we blew the friggen number 1 pick or number 2 for feel good wins heck with the moral vitories it is getting us nowhere. I was very afraid that Kyler would be what we thought he was. He has until the end of the season so should the coaching staff after leaving us in this position and Monti but I will be ok if we stick with Monti but the others sorry you are paid for good decisions and the Qb is paid to produce. I hope for the best but I am not falling for this crud anymore. I would have been ok with a game manager for Qb but we have tune.

We vneed to keep decent players that is part of the build but you cut your losses on KM if things continue as usual.

Ok, in 2023 we had the 3rd pick and did a series of trades that set us up well for 2024 and we took Paris, who looks like a great LT. Stroud and Young were taken #1 and #2. Who would you have taken to address a suitable backup plan? Or who in free agency. The pickins’ were slim. I’m only asking because we have to deal with reality of what’s available in a very weak NFL QB market. We are not in a stretch of Manning, young Rodgers, Brady and Bree’s right now. That is why I always ask which QB’s would folks want if not Kyler.
