49ers get clocked by a game ending FG to the Rams 27-24 and Dallas got ripped by Ravens QB Lamar Jackson on a QB sneak to end the game 28-25 Can you imagine what's going down in the Niners fan forums. LOL. They will turn it around unless they really get rocked by more injuries. Niners are better than the Rams. But that loss was shocking to me.

We are not going to the playoffs this year. Let's get that out of the way. The Seahawks and Niners are significantly better. The team is trending in the right direction in terms of its development but we are still 2 off-seasons/drafts away from contending for a playoff position.
When you can't run inside, you can't compete with the big boys. It's that simple. 3rd and 2 and you can't convert with two runs inside (3rd and 4th down)?
We became one dimensional because we can't run inside. The front office truly needs to improve the interior of the offensive line. We need a new center and two starting quality guards. This has been a problem with the team for years and we continue to not take it seriously.
Seattle is a better running team. They are fundamentally more sound that we are. Our front really needs to address the OL and DL. Football is won in the trenches.
And this won't sit well with Cardinals fans here but we need more receiving weapons. We only have one good WR (MHJ). I'm not drinking the Kool Aid on Trey McBride. I never have. He was another Steve Keim small school reach. He was a 3 star player out of high school and played in the Mountain West at Colorado St. Dude never faced real competition. He had some nice plays last year and then was talked about as if he was a top 10 TE in the league. Give me a break.
At Tight End University this off-season, which is an annual camp just for top TE’s, Kittle and Kelce were so impressed by McBride they named him the next great TE. I’ll listen to them and believe my own eyes. As for the rest, we agree we are a year or two from being playoff contenders and that we need to build the trenches. Oline and Dline needs to be addressed in the 2025 draft and free agency big time. I’m not as pessimistic about our WR corps as you, and like Wilson so far developing end of last year and so far this year. Dortch is a dawg but needs to be a depth WR, #3 or #4. Our Online is the best we've had in years. Our Dline really needs work. We have MAJOR holes , so many you just can't be a contender. CB, DLINE. We need some stars there.

This game was there for the taking and the Cardinals whiffed. Hopefully this loss will sting the players and the coaching staff. I fully expect the Cardinals to beat the snot out of the commanders next week. If they don't it's going to be a very long year.

Not saying the Cards can't take care of business w/ the Commanders, but they look to be coming to life.

Our D Has to be playing full tilt 1st half of this upcoming game & keep it going in the 2nd half to have a chance to beat the Commanders. They ain't no slouch team anymore.

If the first three weeks have shown anything, it is that outside of a couple elite teams or a couple bad teams, anyone could pull a victory.
Kliff is liked by players in spite of what this board thinks of him. Wash is gonna come to play next week and try to get revenge for Kliff. Daniels is a problem. He can run and has a great deep ball. Cards have not really been tested deep yet.
Hopefully the offense can get it going, but I am not sure how we stop Wash unless we keep them off the field. Long sustained drives to limit their touches would seem to be the path to victory. Must run the ball.

The Bengals kept the game close against Washington. We kept the game close against a postseason contender in the Lions even though our defense played poorly. If the Bengals can score 30 points against Washington we can too. Kyler is as much a dual threat as Daniels. So in my view, this game will be won or loss from the sidelines (coaches and play calling).

I'm forecasting a Rams style win for the Cards.
