Seattle hasn't played anyone not saying they are not good but they definitely are beatable and we know the Rams and 49ers are. We have to suck it up and execute better. Not getting that pick 6 sucked

It is a long season...we will see how they respond...2-2 to start is still a good start for the tough front side of the difficult schedule...frustrating today...it is over...next game

We are not going to the playoffs this year. Let's get that out of the way. The Seahawks and Niners are significantly better. The team is trending in the right direction in terms of its development but we are still 2 off-seasons/drafts away from contending for a playoff position.
When you can't run inside, you can't compete with the big boys. It's that simple. 3rd and 2 and you can't convert with two runs inside (3rd and 4th down)?
We became one dimensional because we can't run inside. The front office truly needs to improve the interior of the offensive line. We need a new center and two starting quality guards. This has been a problem with the team for years and we continue to not take it seriously.
Seattle is a better running team. They are fundamentally more sound that we are. Our front really needs to address the OL and DL. Football is won in the trenches.
And this won't sit well with Cardinals fans here but we need more receiving weapons. We only have one good WR (MHJ). I'm not drinking the Kool Aid on Trey McBride. I never have. He was another Steve Keim small school reach. He was a 3 star player out of high school and played in the Mountain West at Colorado St. Dude never faced real competition. He had some nice plays last year and then was talked about as if he was a top 10 TE in the league. Give me a break.

At Tight End University this off-season, which is an annual camp just for top TE’s, Kittle and Kelce were so impressed by McBride they named him the next great TE. I’ll listen to them and believe my own eyes. As for the rest, we agree we are a year or two from being playoff contenders and that we need to build the trenches. Oline and Dline needs to be addressed in the 2025 draft and free agency big time. I’m not as pessimistic about our WR corps as you, and like Wilson so far developing end of last year and so far this year. Dortch is a dawg but needs to be a depth WR, #3 or #4.

My thoughts are -- - This team could be/should be 3-0 but in a league where 2/3 of the games are decided by 7 pts or less, these brutal refs calls/non-DPI calls are killing the Cards.
- Furthermore on the Pick 6 nullified by a bad call wherein no official was waving their arms to stop the play for the 2 minute warning, the whistle wasn't blown until Goff got sacked and the ball went into the air. I saw a 2 second clip of the referees huddle on that play and you can clearly lip-read the head official saying "Son of a bit**h" - IMO they knew they messed it up. I believe this was during the 2 minute warning and maybe they showed it on the jumbotron.
- Of course immediately after that call- the Cards allowed a draw play to go for a first down when it was 3rd and 12 ... that was a killer as the Cards could have gotten the ball back and of course the Lions would have 7 less points.
- Even forgetting the bad calls, I believe Darius Robinson's injury has cost the team 2 games because the interior DL in the 2 losses allowed way too much rushing yardage. The good news from the post game JV podcast is DROB is on track to be back for game #5 which is good because it appears too expensive FA DL Justin Jones has a tricep injury ... Cards lost 3 key players for the season last year with bicep injuries so hope this doesn't turn into something serious.
- Wish on the 4th and 1 -- KM1 would have just dove forward with both hands on football to get 1st down then slide a half second to late before putting ball out in left hand.
- 49ers today were up 14-0 and THEN ... Trent Williams hurt his knee and he did try to play but was definitely impaired and the 49er offense bogged down afterwards -- Cards see the 49ers in 2 weeks.
- Cards must beat Commanders as most fans would have taken a 2-2 start with their schedule.
The NFL can't explain how some teams (e.g. Chiefs) get calls constantly (NOTE: Today the Chiefs benefited greatly on a late NO DPI against Kyle Pitts vs. Falcons) while other teams get screwed. I still will never understand Zay Jones getting 5 games suspension for something the DA dropped the charge and yet Rashee Rice has 8 FELONIES pending where someone got hurt seriously when Rice was speeding at over 100 MPH ... yet he is still playing because Goodell can't afford the "Swifties" to stop watching NFL football.
P.S. Brittain Golden on the post game JV podcast noted in his playing career that Aaron Rodgers (when in GB) and Gordy Nelson/Davante Adams practiced back shoulder fades 8-10 times per practice apiece each week. He wondered if these KM1-MHJ failed back-shoulder fades are being worked on vs. CB's in practice.

Seattle has played garbage teams so far, it is a long season. We will see when the Cards and C-Chicks play each other. Detroit has one of best OLs in the NFL and couldn't convert a 4th and 1...so by your reasoning or post...they have a terrible OL and should replace what they have...makes no sense.Hutchinson had 1 sack on 34 pass attempts...the Cards 3rd string RT allowed ZERO sacks on his first start...Beach and Jonah Williams are better than Barton. The Cards center and guards are some of the best currently in the NFL....yet they should be replaced....makes no sense. It was a disappointing loss and MHJ was one of the reasons for the loss...K1 went to him too much and MHJ dropped too many balls. Dortch had a bad drop, McBride had a bad drop...against the Lions Wilson had the best day. K1 was off on several passes. It was a bad day for offense from the Cards and the Lions have a good defense...there is a need for better execution...not a need to replace the entire roster after a loss. Even though C-Chicks are 3-0 the Cards and Rams are the only NFC west teams with NFC west wins so far in 2024. I think the frustrations are evident...the Cards were in every game against two very good teams and three 2023 playoff teams and dropped 2 winnable games. C-Chicks 3-0, Cards, Rams and Niners are 1-2 and the Cards and Rams each have a NFC west win. Cards team is showing up and playing hard...there needs to be more consistency.

Just as I suggested not to get too carried away over the trouncing of the Rams, I likewise suggest not getting too down over this recent loss to the Lions. For me at this point I'm seeing positives and negatives that could lead this team either way. With that said, my biggest concern at the moment is our defense.....not my only concern, but my biggest one. If Kyler and the offense stay healthy for the most part then we're gonna put up enough points to win games, however my concern is giving it all back via poor defense. Yes the O-Line can use improvement also but Conner is nevertheless finding holes for good yardage and Kyler seems to be continuing to up his game especially where our rookie star receiver is concerned. But we cannot continue to allow opposing QB's too many opportunities to operate comfortably from the pocket. MO has shown some very savvy draft skills. Let's hope his free agent and trade skills will match that.

It's too early to get bummed or excited because of all the freak injuries and young QBs being broken in. Look at Miami with Tua situation, Denver with Nix and all the Rams injuries. I thought it was funny how excited everyone got after a Rams blowout given the Rams had an insane amount of injuries. In the same vein, there's no reason to be distraught over last week's loss. Neither the Rams or the Commanders are really worthwhile measuring sticks of what our team is, so until we face 3 decent teams that aren't depleted with injuries, I'll reserve judgement on what kind of team we have until a few more games under our belt. Even then, with Tua's injury, Jordan Love maybe not at 100% when we play Packers, etc... I actually expect us to have a better record than most of us anticipated because we are catching so many teams with major injury depletions. I don't even trust the Chargers record given two of their wins were against terrible teams. We could easily end up 6-3 going into the Jets game. Do I think we have the talent to be a 6-3 team? No. I just think we've been lucky, injury wise, relative to competition.
I think we will find out what kind of team we have over the five game stretch from the Bears through the second Seahawks game. We could easily lose 5 in a row over that stretch. But the rest of the schedule is mostly a joke. IMO, anything less than 9 wins, 8 losses would be a major disappointment given Tua and others like Panthers have such issues at QB. Those games plus the Commanders should be gimme wins. I think the Bears game will be the game that decides our season.

I am not sure I agree. This team could get hot and make some noise with the 7th rated offense and 16th defense that is a copetitive team and that is what we are seeing. We just need to get the middle of the field passing game to TE and Dortch and KM designed runs cranked up. We need to keep Kyler going the right direction and quit getting in to those funks he slips in.

On field performance is typically scheme dependent. McBride is a stud, but hybrid TE's work best in two-TE sets where they don't have to be the primary blocking help. That's what always made San Fran's TE's so dangerous. Kittle is a great blocker but he puts up crazy numbers because their system: 1. Focuses on multiple TE sets 2. He doesn't have to be the primary blocking TE. 3. San Fran often had multiple TE's that could be starters for many teams, so you had to respect their other pass catching threats. 4. Usually had dominant 'inside' run game. 5. Focused on plenty of under center play action I've long wanted us to run a system that's similar, but it's not exactly suited for Kyler. Thing is, if you stuck McBride in that sort of system, or even with a team like the Ravens, he could easily catch 100 balls per season.
