Wow, Tip really made that play happen. He blocked his guy into other blockers and ended up pushing around five guys, two of them ours, to make a huge hole. Interesting that our lead blocker can’t block an engaged player or it’s a 15 yard penalty. Great awareness to ease up just before he hit that Bills player. DJ did the rest.

Good question about 2v1 tackles. I don't think the a SECOND BLOCKER can HIT an ENGAGED PLAYER without drawing a MAJOR PENALTY.

The idea is to prevent cheap lower body shots to engaged players who cannot protect themselves.

The “lead blocker” is the guy lined up directly in front of the return guy, but the rest of the special teams blockers are now lined up close to the opposing ST tacklers. It is confusing…the lead blocker is in essence the 10 guy furthest back lol.
