Thanks Aris Good summary. I will continue to beat the drum on the 0-9 yard pass game. It worked in the 1st half and when the Cards panicked in the second half they went away from it. In the Lions game Stafford worked the short game to perfection against a better defense and several OL men missing. I liked the Cards had a chance, but if the offense would have trusted what was working in the short game another outcome was possible. The lack of short crossers, counter routes off play action and even better use of jet sweep motion and more jet sweeps with Dortch. McBride, Wilson and MJH can catch short routes and use their athleticism to get extra yards…short routes get the ball out fast and neutralize the rush as well. The Cards did this in 2023 as well and McBride thrived. Drew has his work cut out, but it is an easy adjustment. Small ball moves the chains and protects the bad defense as seen in the first half. Do you think the Bills made adjustments in the second half to counter the Cards offense? Did the windy playing conditions limit the long ball? (yes) I hate the jet sweeps. Reminds me of the KK days. Overall the offense was pretty good. The defense..... I agree the Bills made adjustments and they were executed well Wind effected a couple K1 throws when he was lofting the throw instead of drilling McBride in the end zone. The jet motion and run one to see if the defense can defend it. The motion in itself makes LBs acknowledge it and TE route or short WR Lbs have to cover are given a better advantage for the route runner. I thought the offensive play was better than the defense. To stay with a Nickel CB when getting mauled by runs is dumb…Wilson played too well to limit his snaps

OK, Monday morning QB. Got a ? for ya. How much of a difference do you think BJ Ojulari & Darius Robinson would have made on the "D" if they played yesterday?

Lots of pundits pointing to the loss of Jonas Williams being replaced by Beachum as the reason we lost, that's pretty weak. Beachum is now aged 35 and he is doubtless dropping from his peak performance days. Maybe the glue is thinning, despite the positives he brings to the roster. arizonasports.com/story/3557442/jonah-williams-out-cardinals/Hoping Jonas Williams is back for the next game. I like that phrase "maybe the glue is thinning". The nice thing I noticed about Jonas when he was signed was his durablity. not much missed games last three years. So it's disappointing.

But most NFL teams are missing key guys at any given time. Big injuries are part of the game. When two guys go down and you have practically ZERO pass rush it's an indictment on the thinness of the roster. I don't have a lot of oxygen for excuses, the only thing I'll say is Monti has a plan and is executing it pretty well with a long range outlook. We are about a year out from having talent on both sides of the ball.

Will like to comment further when I get home. PFF grades were abysmal for the DL. Pretty decent for the OL, with the exception of Beachum. Hopefully our RT gets back soon. The "X" video is worth a second watch. See Marv. He goes straight at the CB for 15 yards, makes contact, pushes off with 2 hands, and then looks for the ball. I instantly had a flashback to that WR Greene game 8 at GB in 2021. Had Murray attempted a pass to Marv, the ref would have thrown a flag for PI on Marv. Rookie error 101. Don't shove with the hands. Maybe that is another reason Murray looked away from Marv most of the game. The rookie got "played" by the BUF veterans and BUF DC all day.

On defense Jones and Nichols were disappointing. Wilson was a bright spot. White and Budda each had ten tackles and one for a loss. Wilson had 9 tackles and one for a loss with limited snaps. I would like to see Wilson get more snaps. Did Rabbit ever get a snap? Take it for what you want but Budda’s PFF grade was 54. That was not even top 10 on defense. How many defenders played?? White was in on quite a few as well, but did you notice him as having a good game? Piling on and getting an assisted tackle do not move the needle for me. Budda had at LEAST 3 missed tackles and two resulted in TD’s. $19 mil to be a box run stopping safety, needs to make those plays. The player that stood out the most was Mack Wilson and he had the highest PFF grade, so the grades are matching my thoughts. Trade Budda for Reddick and play Rabbit. One can dream…. If BB continues to earn 50 grades week to week, his value will be 50 cents to a GM. No GM will want a Safety that is over the hill for $20M nor $20 bucks.

Interesting breakdown by Orlovsky on this particular play. This is the best film breakdown I've seen on that failed QB read on the open WR at the end of the 4th Qtr. It makes sense why Murray said, "I didn't see him." Murray's first read is the flat WR and an out-route WR. Both are 100% covered by BUF CBs. No pass. Next, Murray slids to his right, his strong side. Note how he bends and digs to gain separation from a DL closing from the left side. Murray's head is probably about 4.5 feet off the turf at this point. The BUF DL and LBs are all holding onto their blocks and filling gaps. Murray's vision downrange is almost zero, so he goes to the only WR he can see on a right side out route for a first down and out of bounds. However, because the WR comes back for the ball, the clock keeps running. Harrison did everything right. He saw coverage separate at 1-2 seconds and threw up his hand, "I'M OPEN!!!!!!!!!!" But, Murray was boresighted on the left half of the field and moving to his left. The BUF defenders were following Murray's eyes and face the whole time. The inside was sealed off, the left side was sealed off, and the right side was invisible to the 4.5-foot tall QB Murray until too late when the CB finally covered Harrison again. Harrison will learn as will Murray. These two guys might still produce some points in 2024.

He will never have the value he had in the 2023 offseason when I said they should trade him. Demands more money, piles on when the team in turmoil and comes out and lays an egg all season. Top 10 most overrated players in the NFL.

It's weak broadcasting analysis to say Kyler missed that one when you have film broken down like this. Now can this be done during the game with little time between plays? I'm tying to be fair to the broadcasters, they sure made a big deal about the "miss".

Yes he makes some big plays but he's not consistent, he's clearly lost a step and he's proven to be a malcontent with his renegotiations. He's not trade bait. The NFL is not kind to aging players. If anything he'll be out of football next season.

However, the GM and HC have memories. And they have film, like the one here that shows the whole offense in slo-mo and guy that missed a pass for a potential game-winning TD. It's hard to dog-pile a QB with blazing speed, running around for 7-10 seconds, who does not see Harrison. But I will dog-pile anyway because I'm a team fan for life.
