Here is Monti's interview this morning and some discussion that extensions for players can still happen during the season. Monti Interview Today
Extension candidates during season (depending on play) are: 1) Kyzir White 2) RG Will Hernandez 3) JC & Budda - would need to be short term TEAM-FRIENDLY contracts but I doubt it. Now at the beginning of 2025 season, I think McBride gets new deal at about 4 yr $62-$65M assuming he performs like Monti/JG expect. |

If a contract extension cannot be worked out soon, BB might be traded. That's a small risk but cannot be ingored. |

If a contract extension cannot be worked out soon, BB might be traded. That's a small risk but cannot be ingored. Our second highest paid player, BB, is a short safety who may not even be our best safety. Next year, the other starting safety, Jaylon Williams, is our third highest paid, after Kyler and FA RT Jonah Williams. Safety and right tackle are not the positions you want as your highest paid players. |
